Revisiting OKC

I still think something very dirty happened here. At the same time the ATF was doing a bust on an illegal explosives deal. The ATF was posing as the seller and was using genuine US issue explosives devices. No one was ever arrested during the bust, but the explosives did dissappear.
There are other discrepancies as well. We've been told that the bomb was ANFO and that it was ammonium nitrate and racing fuel (nitromethane). The two explosives are different, the 2nd one being Kinepak is a type of plastic explosive while ANFO is just wet prills.
It is very hard to get a full detonation with ANFO, in fact it's hard to detonate ANFO period. We've also been told that McVeigh's detonator was a mere blasting cap, while the ANFO was placed in metal drums. In my experience a cap alone will not detonate ANFO, you need a booster. Miners typically use 1lb PETN booster or a stick of 60% dynamite. Also 4500 pounds of ANFO would have left the city covered in ammonium nitrate prills, the same things miners see after using ANFO to break up earth.
Furthermore ANFO is not used to cut. It will only crack, it's not a shattering explosive. The very reason it's only used to remove dirt in the mining industry. When they want to shatter dynamite or AN water gels are the choice explosives, but typically dynamite is used. In all the reading and research I've done into explosives I've also never seen any AN based explosives recommended for use in bringing down buildings, simply it's a piss poor choice for the required job.
Also the building only stood for a matter of weeks before it was finally brought down, the investigation was quick and only the feds were allowed to investigate.
It's fishy.
