Default lexan and polycarbonate armour

i need to obtain some armour! something like some 1/8" lexan or mabey some 1/5" polycarbonate. ya see i can't tell ya what i need it for, but i can promise ya that if i can get some help in purchasing some, you'll definately hear about it.

*can someone (some one with alot of knowledge about it) tell me which one has a greater threshhold before they could break. how much force is required, or what kinds of things should i stay away from (i.e. weapons) that may harm the material.

*could someone also tell me wher I could obtain some (alot of sheets), or how i would go as to buy some.

*will people get suspiscious?

i need all the help i can get from you guys and gals

armored windows are laminates of glass and lexan or polycarbonate. it's also very expensive I don't know of any good sources.

You also need a clear drying epoxy to hold them together.

Also any armor only buys you time, nothing is bullet proof after repeated hits, nothing.

what kind of shit were those 2 bank robbers wearing in that big bank heist (gone wrong)in LA a couple years back. It was covered on tv and the 2 guys had this major gunfight with the cops. They were just walking down the street shooting becaue they were wearing this awesome armor.

One popped himself in the throat to end it all and the 2nd guy got shot like 50 times in the leg and the neck and the cops let his ass die. I support the police decission to let him die slowly.. but the police where sued for it.

They were wearing level 4 body armor.

Cops are underarmed in CA, because of stupid people and regulations. I don't think in any state except CA, IL, or NY would such a thing happen.

I agree with the cops too. I also think that whoever sued should of been shot and allowed to die slowly as well.

The eerie thing is that the same thing could happen again in CA, easily.

Level 4 body armor is resistant to even hipo rifles so long they are throwing lead at ranges further than 300yds. The military however has developed a ceramic armor that will withstand a hit from a .50BMG. Though the impact alone could prolly kill a guy.
