Default freedom of press?

My history teacher at school makes me take off my coat in her class. She says it is inappropriate. I wrote on the back:
"My opinion on the american flag:
The red stands for all the people we've slain. The white stands for this racist bigoted foundation. The blue stands for your aryan eyes, all empty. Empty because you're taught to bow down to the man.--Anti-Flag"

I have worn a shirt that said the exact same thing on it so when I took off the coat she would see the the shirt. She just made me put on the coat inside out.

I need something to say that would piss her off. Please help.

Something for your shirt to say, or for you to say? You seem to have the shirt part down. As for you.. people who get so riled up about that shit don't understand it, so you're likely able to say anything and get the job done. May I suggest..

Im not preaching.. really im not.

I wonder how many people would sign up for duty if a new war broke out. Im not talking about a little gulf war. but a full fledge war. like WWIII. So many kids today are so anti american.

Dont get me wrong. you have some good point, but would you defend your country, life and liberty?

or would you stay home and smoke pot all day long.

I trip whenever i see old film footage of WWII and wonder what those soldier who died in the war would have said if they could see us today. how the world changed in the 1960s all the way up to today. Would they of just said "fuck this shit.. im not fighting anymore" or would they have said "There is always hope and im dying for a good cause"?

Do you think those kids on MTV think about those who died so they could have the freedom to be brainwashed by corperate music, or do they just not give a fuck anymore. Why did we have that war anyways. What do you guy think the worlds population would be today if we had no wars last century? im guessing 9 billion.

Yes, I agree with Spiffy. Countries have ideals. It doesn't mean you should forsake or eternally try and damn them because they don't live up. That's ludicrous. Hate the individuals, not the faceless picture.

If You Really hate America you can always expatriate, or try to make a difference and redress the wrongs you see, but no, Apparently bitching and wearing a tee shirt is the level of commitment that you can make to a cause.

Here's a dumb answer for you, no thanks neccessary just throw kitty treats:

Get a shirt that says-

"Those who can do ~and~ those who can't teach

PE." only tuck it in so the PE doesn't show and then when she gets her panties all in a bunch
you say "Oh! oh! NO! no and you untuck you shirt revealing the PE part.

Then you tuck your shirt back in, either she tells you to untuck your shirt, which doesn't seem too appropriate since neatness and grooming would dictate that it remain tucked, or thats it, you succeed in lesseneing the amount of time she has to present lesson material that day.

Then you ought to suggest that the class be assigned a short essay on the topic of White Witch's question re. the willingness of todays "of age" youth to serve and possibly die for their country.

If she has any, well, seems to me that under the circumstances, that despite what may already be scheduled for y'all to study, anyhow, that would be a good worthwhile assignment and you ought to suggest it!

In fact, make that the suggestion and the thing about the PE teaching, well just file that under dumb.

What's wrong with teachers. Hell, there more educated than most of the general population. Some of them are jerks but on the average, there OK.

Oh, and about your teacher, did you remind her about the Indian massacres, the KKK, slavery and all that?

tell her you're naked underneath... if she doesn't believe you and still makes you take of your coat, then the next day you really should wear nothing under it...

She's probably in denial about the US's history. It was brutal and extremely un"constitutional". I suggest you take the intelligent route. Find a copy of A People's History to the United States by Howard Zinn and suggest she teach from it. Zinn is nationally approved as a textbook and it doesn't have all those stupid pictures and charts, nor does it have "questions" at the end of each chapter. Remind her that despite her legal right to tell you what to do, she has no ethical right to do so and then ask her if she really wants you to. If she still wants you to, ask her about the founding fathers and see if she knows why they wrote the constitution, if she doesn't say it was at least partially because of money tell her she is full of shit and prove it with the research you will have done. (again Zinn and/or Brinkley's text, Hofsdater, etc.,).

btw: did you ever just tell her you were cold? or did you get an attitude, ruining your chances. I must say, the jacket/t-shirt was creative but she'll never change.

I hate standardized education. It's incorrect.

Conservative's are people who are afraid to adapt.

Around 1776, certain important people in the English colonies made a discovery that would prove enormously useful for the next two hundred years. They found that be creating a nation, a symbol, a legal unity called the United States, they could take over land, profits, and political power from favorites of the British Empire. In the process, they could hold back a number of potential rebellions and create a consensus of popular support for the rule of a new, priveledged leadership.
