How do people make money from there web pages?

selling drugs, advertising, paper route, lemanaid stand, popcicle stand, loan, a job, getting a free website (shitty).

you would probably at first have to pay from your pocket and do seriose advertising in forums such as this. after your hits run around 1000 a week (not an easy task) start asking large websites of the same intrest to pay you to have links to there site (advertisement).

at first ask for a very small amount of money but as your website becomes more often veiwed you can ask for more money and even look into a large amount of different websites that may now be more intrested in buying some advertisement space because you have more hits..

if you want a good website buy a webdite builder or some program especially for websites to make yours the best.

ask around here find out what the other people here use.

I use front page 2000 dream weaver 3 is good. Don�t buy them through, just download them from a Warez site. They are far too expensive. i would recommend having a site focused on one subject you will get more hits. Just make sure they are in the top area of that field, ie a game. Another idea is to have focused advertising. Many people have this. You 3 different types of advertising.
1 - Pay per view. Every time the banner is viewed you get a small amount of money
2 - Pay per referral. Every time someone clicks on the banner and goes to that site you get money. More than you get per view.
3 - Pay per buy. When someone who came from your site buys something or uses the service you get money. Pays well if you focus your advertising, if you know what your visitors want advertise it, like this site does with legal weed adds etc. My site with no adverts can be found at www.tfs.vze.com oh and sometimes you get dicks at school who say I�ll give you five pounds if you put my name on the front page of your site which is why mines says hello jon shoton...

Normally you don't make huge amounts from advertising, don't expect it buy the food but it can help fund a hobby or passion you have for something...

So why are there so many fat cats out there rolling in money saying "this money smells good, I might burn it all then light a fag off of it, then make double the amount" just for a laugh

Very few internet companies make any real amount of money, or any money at all. The computer store I used to work at got a lot of stuff from Plycon Computers. Good work, real official-looking, reliable delivery of parts.. run by a husband and wife team out of their home after working their normal jobs each day.

Look at their website, setup, service, etc., and you could easily think they're fairly big-time and making some good change. They're not. It's side cash for now, and you might be surprised how often that's the case. The only companies that make shitloads are the ones like Yahoo that get millions of unique hits every year.
