i dont know what im auditioning for but i do know its for acting and i have to bring a snapshot picture of me,im going to audution for the production company "barbizon",,well tips and advice is greatly needed,,,,,thanks everyone for the help.

today i just lost $3 becuase of a bet i had with a friend about a school incodent at my college we had a bomb threat,i betted that their wont be a police activity event within one week and god their was about 20 police cars,15 sniffing dogs and eveything,i guess they take things very seriously,but anyways yeah i hope i get a good chance with all this auditioning stuff,tommorow im getting a hair cut,hey you know i read about things about famous people that they have had tuff times growing up,like me,but then later on came bitching famous,like drew barrymore she was a high school drop out but now shes a director,hot actress,and everything,i also got her autograph,but ill let everyone know about my experience and what happens to me next,its probably not even a big deal,but ill tell about it anyone,laters people

Well, I could be talking out my ___ here, but
just in case this is the case that your case is.

There is a very well known modeling company
called Barbizon for many years around here, which for some reason I thought/think you are, but way young so maybe......

Anyway what they did was sort of transform plain old teenagers into model material. It was a whole 6 or 8 week long course where they taught makeup, hair, wardrobe, walking, speaking, the whole deal and then at the end you'd all do a show, a fashion show sort of.

It was actually a pretty cool thing and very trendy for some while others, like this girl I knew went cause they were like social nerds
Anyway though, when she showed up at the arcade with her photos from the show, it was like FUCKIN-A, HOTDAMN!!NO ONE EVER THOUGHT SHE was so fine, even/mostly her, it was a trip.

So the thing is they used all different types of advertising to get clients, so an audition call may be the perfect thing to attract teens with the desire to be found "appealing to directors" which is pretty much what they do, anyway, that is eenuf already, maybe I am
totally off base in which case, yeah, just do some mental prep re: switching emotions, as an adult I have found the ability to do this
w/ relative ease has been by far the most effective tool in many areas when it comes to
"succeeding" anyhow, this is probably the modeling school come-on where you pay them and it aint cheap, so if you think your folks will spring for it , go for it! nobody I knew or saw who did, came away without totally benefitting from the deal as far as most everything but monetarily. And hell if you look good enough when they are done with you, modeling may really be a viable option. Keep your eyes and ears open at the "audition" it will probably not be a group deal and so it's kinda like walking onto a car lot, w/ your eye on a particular car. But the subsequent classes are done in groups so the better you make your first impression with the scouts, the more likely you will get the most out of
their presentation/program cause much of what
they teach is initial presentation of ones self. Grooming, grooming , grooming, skin, posture, appropriateness of attire, I think it would be interesting to hear what they would say they had to offer if you walked in there already all put together so to speak.

hey winki,THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL THAT INFO, but i dont think i would make it for modeling cause i know i dont got the looks but when the lady over the phone from barbizon asked me,i chose acting,she gave me 4 choices ,acting,singing,dancing,modeling..so of corse i knew i could only try one thing that might work for me,which is acting,but i dont really take all this into a big deal cause i know it take like a year or two to auctually become famous or even get a first tv apperance,but after all this is through ill come back here and post my experience.....laters people

i just got back from the auditioning,there was about 100 people there,all ages,tall,skinny,chubby,all races,mostly chicks,the models were hot as hell,see it was for 4 catagories,acting,modeling,singing and dancing, and of corse i got the acting,so there was about a 30 minute wait, then we all went into a room that was part of the nice big hotel,,,,Double Tree Hotel,this place was the nicest of all,the top guy agent person was in town,so thats how i got into this thing,so we had the audtioning in a room called "Club Max",its like a little dance club connected to the hotel with lighting and everything, so then we watched like videos about acting etc.and about this guy,whos name is "John Logrone",who works for IMTA,,,,,(International Modeling and Talent Associaiton),,,this guy is like all semi famous and stuff and IMTA which was the people who are having this audtioning here in California,then after a week they move on to other states plus canada to look for more acters,actresses,singers,etc...,they have made Jennifer Lopez and Katie Homes stars,,,,so i was the 9th one to audtion and i think i did pretty good,cause John Lagrone looked at me and asked me all kinds of questions like if i was with the Barbizon school of acting,i said no cause im not,so then he wrote something down on his little paper thing he was holding which attatched had a picture of me i turned in,,,so heres what i had to say in front on this big time guy,about 100 people including staff of IMTA workers and the others who were audtioning and a video camera,,,,my name,my audtioning number and "Sure you love to brush after eating, but sometimes you cant.Chew AquaFresh Gum, brush when you can chew when you cant",,,,,,,that was a little tricky wasnt it,but i guess i did good enough and i find out my results on monday after 1pm,,,,,and if im good enough and get picked i can get a chance to go to new york for a week to meet like 250 agents, so until then ill let you people here know what happens.

I don't want to ruin your fun or anything but it sounds like a scam. Watch out if they ask you for any money.

But then I think Capt'n Crunch is a scam. Think about it, a CAPTAIN on a box of CEREAL. There has to be something nefarious in that.

hey good thinking,yeah if i do get the part from the audition i have to pay for the whole trip like hotel stay,air fair,photographs from well known photographers,and all kinds of other expences,i didnt even think of that

Fuck i feel so sad, i called barbizon around 2pm,,,i got the damm part....but to set a apointment with john logrone is $895,god what a rip off just to be famous and i would only have about 2 days to pay it,but fuck i could of been taking acters trianing, photo sessions,everything i dreamed off,i mean i only have about $500 now but fuck some of it is going towards fines, pager bills, clothing, etc.. but next year in january ill be ready for them,there coming back here,and yeah ill be ready,they said i defently got the part,i was so damm happy but the money $$$$$ damm what a gyp you know?, it could be some kind of rip off artist shit but it doesnt seem like it,oh well theres always next time,but this summer when im on break from college and part time work ill be out thtere doing plenty more audtions,they also said i was perfect for commercials and sit coms,,GOD DAMMIT,,,but anyways if i did have the $895 i would have to have about $6,000.00 for the trip to new york and everything,but next year i am ready,,,,,but theres only 2 things that made my day, i reformated my computer and its working graet and i got my vcd player to work....well i guess there goes my acting carrear for a while,if anyone has any questions ill be happy to answer,,,,,,,,damm i hate it,,,,
