Getting a new identity
Alright, I'm pretty sure I know how it works. 1. Get a birth certificate 2. Use that to get a passport 3. Use both of those to get a social security number.
My question is: does the Social Security Agency check the backgrounds of applicants? i.e. would they check the birth records of the state to make sure that the applicant wasn't using a dead guy's name?
Answers would be most appreciated. This is all for solely informational purposes, of course.

Re: Getting a new identity
I mean if someone applied for a social security number and provided the necessary documents, would they check up on everything?

Re: Getting a new identity
um, i really have no idea about this but i'd think they'd kinda wonder why you don't have one in you have a U.S. birth certificate.
