i don't believe it, i thought i was the only one who had thought of it.

i was forced to partake in an episode after the superbowl because my best friends girlfriend loves those shows.

and i couldn't believe that out of all those people:

not one smoker who would've had the foresight to bring a lighter to smoke whatever weeds he/she came across.

not one person realizing the first order of survival would be food, the second order heat, both requiring the use of fire, to not bring a 99 cent bic.

we have come to take the most basic element of survival in the world for granted-fire.

I was watching a cool thing on MSNBC cable news about "Reality TV".

This is not a new concept. Its been around since the 1970s. PBS did one of the first Reality Experiments of a family in Santa Barbara. It got very good ratings.

Anyways, They also interviewed a bunch of Stanford Phyciatrist(spell) who said in the 70s it was legal for colleges to fund experiments on people, but in the 1980s they were banned because they were considered "un ethical". But the shrink said he loves these shows. thinks they are good experiments of human nature. And how "Ironic it was that Colleges cant do these but Television can".

Anyways my point is I dont watch these shows. I saw part of survival one. I heard there is a TV show on Fox about "Temptation Island" or some shit. Looks pretty boring.

Oh and big brother is mostly staged. They showed back scenes of Big Brother being filmed. Losts of the shit is staged. its not real. its bullshit. That really pisses me off. I would think they wouldnt have to. But then again most people would probubly fall asleep if they didnt.

And last. There is one show that is ABC is trying to pick up. a show from england were they put a shitload of people in a prison on an island. Gave them nothing but food and drinking water. And left them to see if they could escape.. Now i would watch that. that sounds like fun.

their luxury item really has to be a luxury they aren't things you could use for survival like a lighter or matches or a fishing pole or whatever ..being the cyber junkie i was i would bring a laptop (although they probably wouldn't let me have one with a internet hookup)

man i would like to be on survivor if i was to go i would do a lot of studying on survival techniques and the natives of the land and how they get along (like the aborigines)

I saw Junkyard Wars on PBS out of state once. That, the Sci-Fi channel, and cable internet are the only reasons to pay for cable.
