i think if the ozone layer around the planet was destroyed we could come up with bubbles or something to live in with artifically generated ozone layers, but i think it would be very hard to do it on a planetwide scale

Man, sunscreen lotion price sure is going to go up. BTW, I'm still going to invent something like that, because it is possible.

just a question: how do you intend to do this... it is highly unlikly that you will be able to literally bring ozone up there and dump it off! hehe
maybe a reactant might enhance the convertion of oxygen to ozone or sumin? any ideas ppl?

Reminds me of Robocop 2 where the ozone layer is gone and they are advertizing that super blue sunblock.

right... so your going to develop somthing this advanced on your own.. please tell me righ tnow you have sevral Phd's?

Matrix, you can do it. Take the initiative. The hardest thing about doing something like this, for me, is that it requires money. You will need, a. To go to school so that you can get grants and more knowledge, or b. You will have to find some scientists that you can talk to and do research with. The hardest part about that is actually getting into contact with the scientists, and trusting them not to steal your idea.

Yes it is posible and no your not the first to think of it, the havent ade lots of it cuz its kinda expensive, ozone is 03 they use it to purifie water for drinking.

Look dumping Nitrogen in the troposphere produces ozone but destroys it in the stratosphere so if you can minimise the effects in the stratosphere you're home free

This planet is long been on the road of dustruction since creation. Least we can do is look after it as it is our only God given planet which we have. In New Zealand the temperater max is 20 degrees celcus(SP) and in 15 minutes we get sun burnt. I mean totally sun burnt as there is one mega ozone hole of us and all the uv's get through and kill us! When it reaches 30 - 35 buildings catch alight and vast country side starts to burn up and catch fire killing all our precious sheep which we just happen to mass export to the U.S. Hehehe. We'll the least we can do is try to look after it cause it does severly effect us one way or another. I only hope they do make something like what your talking about. It would save lives!

But you can convert O2(oxygen) to O3(Ozone) with a high voltage cell....Its not that hard...Good Induction system idea for cars...The thing is that ozone is harmful to us and living things in the troposphere...But in the stratosphere it protects us...The thing is to find something that bonds with the CFC atom to stop the reaction were the CFC atom bonds to the O3 and then releases itself and makes that ozone atom a oxygen atom...But then that CFC atom that was released then goes on to another O3 atom and destroys that...
