Templeton, absolutely not. We may be all doomed in my opinion. However, I guess my mentality is one in which one should fight till the end even though you know you are eventually going to run out of ammunition and your foxhole (world) is going to be overrun. Maybe the aforemetioned consciousness shift will come.

Even if some humans survive, perhaps what we are doing now will provide a learning experience and there will be a better future for the survivors. Yet, I doubt it. As I have said before, welcome to The Kali Yuga. The facts may be the facts but we can at least die with dignity and stop denying the inevitable.

my whole theory is this, humans are fucked, not going to be able to sustain the current state of things for long, so something will have to give, i guess it will result in many deaths of people, instead of switcing energy sources and food sources (i wish this would happen) this is why i never want to have children with anyone, dont want to bring them into a world that is doomed, about the only thing i can think to do is escape to other realitys as much as possible, trying to create a temple within myself that i can go and get away from everything, the worlds needs alot more meditation

I think the earth is all about plastic. really, ask the people who get displaced by volcanos and earthquakes if the earth is dying. Since when did anyone come to the realization the earth was dying? the earth is 4 billion years old, humans at least 100,000. now, with 200 years industralzation. your saying in 200 years we are killing the earth after it has withstood asteroid strikes, Ice Ages, Plate Tectonics and all kinds of shit, the earth will be here long after we are extinct.

Segue, although I agree with most of your posts, I beg to differ about the human speices destroying earth. Even if we were to nuke it with everything we have available, it will rejuvenate in time.
We have had a wonderful oppurtunity as a speices but have failed. The fact we think we can reverse it only illustrates our arrogance.
Too much of the morphogenetic grid has been destroyed and I do believe the poles will shift. The earth will survive yet we will not.

Yeah Segue, the Earth's average temp. rising only a few degrees 100 million years ago is all attributed to us. We drive Gas Guzzling SUV's to work everyday and tree-huggers cry, then say what a beautiful sight it is when a volcano is belching out more pollution in a day then what we have ever done. The Earth is gonna be here in it's original state long after we are fossils

Segue you are exactly the kind of person like the hawaiians here that build their houses next to an active volcano to get in touch with mother earth and shower once a month and then wonder why you have lava flowing through your house
