Default Mc Donalds truth?

What is the truth about bloody Mcdonalds?
I know about 80% lard in the milkshakes, vaseline on the burgers in adverts and boiling bones down into the beef.
I want some gruesome truth to tell my fellow fast food fans.
..Shudder

i can only speak for american mcdonalds but i think it's the same shit all over the world. chicken mcnuggets are made of chicken and FISH parts (any parts will do) that are liquified and forced into molds for their strange but addictive shape. also they add chemicals to all of their food to make it taste bad if eaten with other fast food like burger king etc.... that all i know, but i still love it.

I know many are aware of this fact but when the label says "100% All Beef Patty" thats the name of the company that produces the burgers (too bad I couldnt find a website for the company). And it's obvious that it's mainly salt and rendered fat. @ fast food in general

You can eat the whole Mc Donalds menu without teeth so it's great for old people

KFC is much better than Mc donalds. It might be because i eat Mc Donalds almost everyday at college but I think that the food you get in KFC looks more like meat rather than Mc Donalds. My friend used to work in Mc Donalds and he said that the meat starts out about twice the size of the end product. Have any of you out their noticed how all the burgers are damp with fat? What the fuck is that doing to our arteries????

I can imagine.

Sometime last week there was this TV documentary called Restaurants from Hell 2 or something and it went into GREAT detail; it was quite scary!
There was this one guy that would serve the customer, and if he didnt like them, he would tell his mate that was preparing the food to put and extra larger greeny (snot) in it.
One guy, the restaurant manager, spat in a customers burger AND put pubic hairs in it!

It was sick. I havent eaten at McDs or Burger King since

He can cook you up your own brain, and being the master chef and criminal genius he is, it would be some good shit and you would lose your analytical and problem solving skills during the meal, not even knowing what you were eating, but kowing that it tasted good.

Fast food does the same thing, but on a slightly lower scale. You would think that people would have to be eating their own brain though if they knew what the food actually was and how it it made and keep going back for more.

You know those sesame seeds they put on the buns at mcdonalds?
They are only there because without them the bus would be classed as a confectionary. Thats how much sugar sweetners and so on are in it.
Oh and the pickle?
Thats also only there so that the burger can pass health regulation. Without this disgusting little preserved slice of pickle (which comes out of a big bucket of green slime a friend who used to work there tells me) that burger is deemed unsuitable for eating.
Thats how unhealthy mcdonalds is.

And eww, KFC is better?
Could be an urban legend but a friend of a friend bit into a kfc burger once and this white shit exploded out, at first he thought it was the mayonaise but he looked at it and it was a huge sist in the chicken that had popped when he bit it.

It has come to the point where the Deli's in major supermarkets are almost at the Mc Donalds level. I work at a supermarket, and when i go into the deli, they recycle all the old food; they take what's too old to sell off the aisles and use it in creating macaroni & the fried chicken etc. And i'm sure that the conditions wouldn't be able to pass the legal standerds.

alright if you all want some dirt on fast food chains, specifically mcdonalds, go borrow the book "fast food nation" it is amazing he researches the birth of fast food restaraunts, and goes in depth about what is in the "meat" and french fries. one fact, chicken mcnuggets have beef tallow in them. so much for them being chicken. this book is definetly something the people at mcdonalds, burger king, wendys, taco bell, etc... want consumers reading. enjoy your reading as much as you enjoy your burgers.

Also have you noticed that the two year old McDonald's french fry you found under your car seat is in the exact same condition (dustier maybe) as when you first bought it?

I worked in a slaughter house that provided meat to the pakers, which supplied McDonalds. The meat that's in burgers is meat alright, Along with cow tongues, brain and spinal tissue and cow cheeks. also, they have guys that pick up dead, diseased, and dying cows and send them to the slaughter house. The cows can't stand up because they are sick and slip and fall and lay in their own shit. It's fucking gross I threw up about every second and whenever i see McDonalds and people eating burgers I get grossed out and feel like I want to boot.

strange how most of these things are only found in meat. stop bitchin people. go vegetarian and make sure they are not genetically modified.

also i was tought this at school and i hope it is true. only 10 percent of the energy is passed on to the next trophic level. which means; the plants get their energy from the sun. only 10% of that energy is passed on to the organism eating that plant. so, for example, you are only getting about 10% of the 10% of energy the grass recieved from the sun.

Never had Burger King ever in my life, so Ive never had a whopper, and I dont really care if I ever have one.

Best pizza though is Papa Johns, way better than Pizza Hut, but that's just my opinion.

McDonanlds is ok, but haven't eaten there for awhile.

My friend has worked at the majority of the Pizza Huts in my area, and he says sooo..far he hasnt picked up on any "dirty secrets".

Once I was having dinner at TGI Fridays. I ordered just a plain salad...and I had taken like five bites out of it, and I looked and there was a freakin huge potato bug crawling on my salad. HUGE...I dont know how I or they missed it.

Well, lets just say I no longer eat at TGI Fridays....but if I did I would be getting some quality meals free from them.

Then there is this Mongolian (spelling) BBQ here in my town...it always seemed kinda funny...the meat actually tasted really weird...but since they prepaired it in front of us..i thought nothing of it....

Come to find out a week later...They were fined hardcore for having cat meat in there freezers, it was their second time

Default Re: Mc Donalds truth?

I used to work in McDonalds and I quit in disgust over the following incident its a big post, so get a cup of tea or something)

It's nearing the end of lunchtime in a very busy town centre McDonalds. It's 3 O'clock and the employee's go for lunch, and are shuffled around like chess pieces for the retarded so that all the major area's in the restaurant are sufficiently covered. A guy name "Pablo" (he was a foreign exchange student or something, he wa quite new and spoke poor English) was moved onto cooking hamburgers, something he'd had shitty minimalist training on. So no surprise that when he's told to "press the button" to open the grill plate, instead of pressing the (unmarked) grill opening button, he presses the (also unmarked) fire extinguisher release button.
The stuff that comes pouring out when this button is pressed is some nasty shit. Poisonous after prolonged contact with the skin, this white powdery crap is flooding the entire kitchen with its beautiful toxicity. The restaurant is closed down and the clean up begins.
Within 2 hours of head office being informed, they're on the phone to regional manager asking when the "outlet" is going to re-opened. Or rather, they're saying that it'd better be soon or heads will roll.
Now, like I said, this stuff is poisonous. So dangerous, in fact, that the place has to be closed by law (public safety) for at least 36 hours, AT LEAST. AFTER IT HAS ALL BEEN CLEANED UP.
Next day, business as usual, opening at 8am. a mere 17 hours after the shit came pouring out, or put differently 12 hours after it had all been cleaned. Cleaned by untrained teenagers with a minimum of safety equipment.
Cunts. No informing Public Health, and apparently (cos I came in the day after) the regional office wanted to re-open staright away. Despite the risk of poisoning shiteloads of people. Cunts Again.
I never went back in, I'd been AWOL 2 weeks, they rang me up, i thought "they've got me", they asked if i could ask an extra shift the following week. I said I'd be happy, in fact I'd do as many as they wanted. Just put it on my timesheet and I'd check it when I came in.
A month later an extra 100 turned up in my account. I never heard from them again.
But at least Pablo kept his job.

There was an out of court settlement on this one by a Hindu family, at McDonald's (i think it's mcdonald's and not burger king, whichever one my buddy steve is a manager at, he told me) because the french fries aren't vegetarian, they're injected with a tpye of beef by-product that apparently helps them retain "freshness". next time you're in a burger chain and thinking you're all holistic and earth-loving with your salad and fries, ask if the fries are vegetarian, but make sure you ask the manager or someone other then the 17 year old at the counter, because they have no idea, they just work the register.

What the hell does BK do to its burgers, they taste like bland. . . . something. i felt sick just aftere eating one and i will never go back there again. But so many people are addicted to the shit (hmmmm, makes me wonder what they do do to them)

on a side note: subliminal messages:

Bk commecials say be gay, got it?
in the land of burgers, flame broiled is gay.
etc. . .

Whats up with this

The only beef i will eat is from Arby's (and even then it better be thouroughly cooked, im not afraid of getting some kind of disiese, their beef is frozen and then slow cooked to prevent such things, but i don't want a mouthful of blood and i will reject any kind of beef that is not thouroghly cooked.

McDonalds is not worth going to, almost as bad as BK.

Avoid Hardees/Carls Jr, and never eat cold fries.

Subway, my only complaint is that they serve lettece that has a pinkish hue, lettuce is not pink, its green. I don't like lettuce anyway.

Pizza huts pizzas are ok, but not their buffet, either have fresh pizza or nuke it, it don't sit around for hours getting poked at by people and still called pizza.

Taco bell and Taco Johns are ok, if you know what to get, avoid the beef and go for the chicken and make sure its hot.

and if you think the meat can be bad, how about old veggies that rot and rot and are stil used. I've heard some bad horror stories from KFC where they would take lettuce/cabbage out of the garbage with possible maggot holes and still make coleslaw.

i trus the restaurants in small towns rather than big cities, and open kitchens over brick walls. I can't belive the shit that goes down in some of these restaurants at tiems.

I've heard that too, although i think it has more to do with the name of the food verses the name of the restaurunt. It has more to do with copyrights and patents than with what is served as food.

Basicially you can go down to Kentucky and have a native fry a chicken and its 'Kentucky Fried' Chicken, but if you want restauraunt grade meat you go to KFC (which if it were spelled out it would be in all caps) and pay to get food poison.

Doesn't matter, after reading all of this, if i can't see the kitchen i won't eat there.

McDonalds key motivation is money. This is pretty blatantly obvious.

You are regurgitation nothing more than urban legends about McDonalds. Explain to me why McDonalds would make hamburgers entirely out of bull penis. Or how they can afford to "skirt the law" by making their products just above human grade? There is no lard in milkshakes, and of course vaseline is used in marketing. They want to make the product look as perfect as possible. This doesn't mean that there is vaseline in your Big Mac. The hamburger is 100% real beef. It isn't produced by a corporation with the same name.

Find me one substantiated report that backs up anything in this post. I dare your bitch ass to find anything.

And no KFC changed their name to keep it up to date. They didn't change it because their food is not officially chicken, or it isn't "made" in Kentucky.

Grow the fuck up, kids. It's morons like yourself that this planet needs to be void of. Go on, believe everything that you hear from your dad's uncle's boss.

this is no legend, this is facts, and still with these facts in your face you hold onto the desprate cry of "fast food is safe and healthy" even if it was 100 percent beef it would still cause many many health problems,

let me ask you how the fuck do you know what is in the meat?? have you tested it, i did a project in high school testing the different burgers, i know for a fact its not 100 percent beef, do you?? have you been inside a mcd's while they prepare food, if you were i doubt you would eat there, please, you still have yet to show me anything backing up what you say, which is to trust one of the biggest corperations on the planet, they do not get my benifit of the doubt, are you a mindless clone, or is it simply too much junk "food" clogging up your blood vessels that lead to your brain?? whatever the reason you are an idiot, but please by all means keep scarfing down those death-burgers, we need alot less of your kind around, and say hi to cancer for me...

onto other food
http://www.boycottfastfood.com/mcdonaldsfacts.htm

To achieve this artificial conformity, McDonald's require that their "fresh lettuce leaf", for example, is treated with twelve different chemicals just to keep it the right colour at the right crispness for th right length of time. It might as well be a bit of plastic.

MEAT is responsible for 70% of all food-poisoning incidents, with chicken and minced meat (as used in burgers) being the worst offenders. When animals are slaughtered, meat can be contaminated with gut contents, faeces and urine, leading to bacterial infetion. In an attempt to counteract infection in their animals, farmers routinely inject them with doses of antibiotics

Have you been to a slaughterhouse?? i doubt it, but highly recommend taking a tour of your local slaughterhouse, just for fucks sake

Well, isn't this a surprise. You could only find links from "independent" websites such as boycottfastfood.com, and animalfreedom.org. This is exactly what I was expecting.

Also, you failed to prove any other point than the well known fact that processed beef has the potential to transmit food bourne illnesses. The same processed beef that tens of thousands of backyard chefs use every weekend. This isn't an epidemic that affects only the fast food industry.

Your "point" that beef is unhealthy is completely untrue. A diet consisting of fast food, as long as it is in moderation and accompanied with exercise and watching what you eat is completely 100% healthy. Of course if you are pounding 3 Whoppers a day, and sitting on your tubby ass stoned out of your mind watching Jenny Jones reruns, it's going to kill you in a matter of years. If you down a double once a week, and continue to eat a healthy balanced diet, you are going to be, for the most part, just fine.

To be classified as 100% all beef, it has to contain beef and beef products. Ground beef is ground for a reason. I never tried to tell you that it is 100% angus certified cow ass. Basically any part of a cow can be considered 'beef.' In your "theses" you proved nothing. Spices are not considered when it comes to the classification of the product. Neither does water, for that matter.

Your remarks on likening lettuce treated with preservatives to plastic is unbelievably idiotic. PRESERVATIVES ARE USED IN EVERYTHING! They aren't growing the lettuce in the back room of the store. They have it shipped in, and to look as appetizing as possible, it has to be treated with preservatives. Preservatives are for the most part safe.

And I have to throw this in. <i>your<b>'re</b> a stupid hippie, go smoke a bowl and hug a tree, because you make everything you say up<i>.

this guy is unreal, blantent facts in front of him, i provied all the links you asked for, and i bet you did not read a single one, there were over half from newspapers dumbass?? and my food has no PRESERVATIVES because its all organic, can you say the same? again you ignore half my argument, do you watch the prepration area in mcds? do you watch your meat being slaughterd?? so your positive of something you have no proof of??? thats pretty sad, it costs about 100 dollars send a burger to a lab and have them tell you what its composed of, thats how the information on the link was composed?? Ive done it personally to confirm, although this was a few years ago, anyway i'm done with you, i think anyone else who reads this thread will agree that you continue to dodge the point, as your arguments are proven wrong and i've said what i wanted to and its backed up, have a nice life

edit: besides the incoherent ramblings above i want to say, lets see some proof any of my sites are wrong?? you havent shown anything but opinion, so i will only respond if you want a real debate, i already know your opinion lets see why you think that way... ok?

If you want to argue points, make points. I fully agree that there are all kinds of parts of cow in ground beef. This isn't what we're debating. You have made zero points, and backed up absolutely nothing.

I just quit working at McDonalds. Don't work there, don't eat there. Don't even drive by there. It's addictive, unsanitary, and unheathly. And when you work there, you get bitch-slapped around by people who care about nothing but pushing more chicken and fish entrails into your body for "an afordable everyday-worker-price."

In the line of MacDonalds bashing, they came to South Africa some five to seven years ago. This country has some very vigorous chain food stores, which although we call them fast are generally not ... Anyway, the standard Macdonalds menus was produced with a flourish, amidst much media hype. That is to say a burger was a R2 coin with a 50c on top, between two lumps of moist bread. The local burgers, to which people had got used, are wopping things by comparison, have lots of extras, and the patty is made of minced beef rather than ground.

Bottom line is, Macdonalds has failed here by comparison to everywhere else. Time magazine ran an article on this failure.

The reason? The local burgers may well have the same shit in them as the Mac's, but they look better, taste better and smell better. And generally you can see them being made, or at least at my local outlets you can.

So use the ultimate test - does a "big Mac" taste like, look like and smell like food? If not dont eat it.

I agree with Affect, these are mostly stories someone heard from a friend, who heard from a friend... anyways, I realize that there's some truth to this, but not quite so bad. I've got friends who work at these places and I know that a huge factor is what chain the store is in. Like the Hardees in one town is ok, but you wouldn't wanna step inside the one that's 15 minutes down the road because they're owned by different people.

Enough with the urban legends.

Ground beef has alot of nasty parts in it, all perfectly safe. They take meat that isn't exactly "pretty" and grind it up. There is alot of fat added to increase the volume of the ground beef and make a little bit more money. They don't grind up penises, eyeballs, guts and all of that crap. That stuff gets made into blood meal, which gets fed back to cows because of it's high protein. Blood meal brings in quite a bit of money for most slaughter houses and sometimes makes more of a profit than ground beef does, so the nasty entrails and brains are going to go to the right place.

The patties come preformed and are shipped to the restaraunt frozen. I've never worked there, but I've seen them pull the patties out of a box and throw them on a grill. So how exactly does anyone at the restaraunt have anything to do with what goes into the patties?

The patties come from slaughter houses and packaging plants around the country. IBP and EXcel are ones that are pretty big around here. I've known people that have worked in both(IBP in amarillo tx and excel in friona tx) and they said there is a seperate production line for most fast food companies. As part of the contracts, the fast food meat goes through more inspections with tighter criteria. Other than having a few quality control people from the coporation there, mcdonalds(bk, wendys or whatever) has no significant part in the production. Once the contract is signed they just sit back and watch.

Cows do get exposed to wuite a bit of antibiotics, but not nearly as much as humans give to themsleves. Most farmers can't afford to randomly inject their cows with anything. When they start getting sick, they get a penicilin shot. Milk and most other cattle related products gets tested regularly for antibiotics and artificial hormones. If any are present, then that load, cow, lot or whatever gets turned away for human consumption. Most artificial hormones and anti biotics are out of their system before they get processed.

Fast food places can be nasty ass places, or they can be sanitary as an operating room. There are some immature kids that work there that might spit in your food, but that will be pretty much any restaraunt. It all depends on who is in charge.

I have been to a slaughter house. I usually have several head of cattle out on my land. I get one slaughtered everynow and then for my family. I also take whatever gets killed during hunting season(deer, antelope, elk, orx) to the slaughter house for butchering. It's a fairly clean place. The kill floor and skinning operations are nasty, but there's no way to avoid that.

This may have been said already, but there is a book called Fast Food Nation. Its a good read. One thing I learned was that all of the flavors in fast food food aren't made by the ingredients, but by chemicals. Chemicals account for all of the taste, smell, and desire to eat more in your fast food. They also harm the body in very high high doses.

Bon Appite!

I hate it when people use the word chemical like that. Water counts as a chemical. If it's tap water, it counts as about 50 chemicals, including arsnic. The deadly chemicals they are talking about could just be spices or something like that. I'm sure there's some tenderizer and preservatives in there, but they most likely are no more dangerous than what comes out of your faucet.

I think the point that everyone is missing here is that MCDs, KFCs, HJs/BKs, etc. are all franchises. The name is used on a variety of regional offices in many, many regions of the earth. The quality, safety requirements, health requirements, etc. vary tremendously according to the region that you ar epurchasing the food from.
i.e. I wouldn't worry for the safety for those who do eat that fast food in my region (a part of Brisbane, Australia), however i might have different thoughts about a MCD in a country town of Sudan.
You would also notice that the ingredients of these items are, whenever possible, obtained from the region, to save money and time. This means that the quality of these ingredients can ALSO vary tremendously.
I say it is unfair to judge the branches of the fast food chains just because of their name.
