Dude.. we are doing more harm in fighting natural fires then if we let them burn.. Reason, when you fight a natural fire (Which we have for about 100 years now) we allow overgrowth. this is why our fires are far greater today then 100 years ago. releasing more toxins in the air. because now we build homes in forrests. and those house contain unnatural products like plastics when they burn.. not to mention the tar and oil release from the roofs. I say let these fires burn themselves out.. and it should be manditory to cut back things at least 75 feet from houses and put things like cactus and plants that dont burn well to help cool our houses. In Oakland back in the 1930s someone planted shitloads of australian Eucaliptis(Big time spell check) trees. it was like the fire his Gasoline when it hit these trees because of the oils they contain. this is why Oakland nearly burned down in 1991. let the fires burn. we are only doing more harm. its natures way of replemishing the earth with new growth. new growth is less dry and doesnt burn as well.

That is damn true.

Yeah, it does matter but you can't really do anything about it, unless you want to quit smoking.

If everyone in the world smoked weed, though, man, there would be ALOT of second hand smoke :-)
