Now I might actually get stuff done in my free time, but they'll all pale in comparison to wasting my time on totse.

I’ll try to keep this short and sweet because I know none of you really care. Totse was the first BBS that I ever joined. I joined it around the age of 15, but I’d been lurking here for much longer reading the archives. I think I first stumbled upon it when I typed in something about home made bombs back when I was just a kid. I’m 21 now and hardly come here any more, but I used to. The closing of this site is like hearing of an old childhood friend’s passing to me. You know, like one that you hadn’t heard from in years. I wish it wasn’t going to happen, and I honestly thought it never would, but Totse will be gone soon. It’s a place where I spent hours of my angst ridden teen years posting and reading posts both interesting and insipid alike. To all of you who might have been around back when I posted here a lot, I wish you the best. Thanks for, at least in a small way, being my friends.

Jeff created an opportunity for us to expand our minds and distract us from the daily grind. Man, I learned a hell of a lot from this place. I've spent thousands of hours here, just reading threads. It wasn't a waste of time either; I'm forever changed by the experience. It feels like I'm going down with a ship, with a 40oz in one hand, and a pistol in the other. Good times here, good times. Gah, so this is it. The temple is dead. My refuge, the place to go when I felt that everything else was against me. The place to seek advice about things I couldn't discuss with anyone else. The place to be myself, instead of pretending to be someone else.
What started with an innocent "how to build an emp bomb" was the beginning of a grand new adventure for me. A place filled with the great minds of my generation, the clever youth, who you could actually have a decent discussion with. Whenever real-life people asked me which chan I originated from (I know a lot of channers) I would either shift uncomfortably, either saying ED, 7chan, or if I felt that I could trust them, "the temple or &T". &T was my little secret, only a few of my RL friends knew about it. It was, as I said, my refuge, my secret cave, my invisible friend.
I can't even think of what to do now. Well, thanks to Lucrecia for telling me the news, or this day would have passed like any other. Haven't spoken with you a lot, but you seem like a nice person.

Please, if you read just one last post, let this be it and consider what I'm I am trying to get across to you over the phone lines.

I knew the day would come when you would finally pull the plug on Totse.com I didn't want to accept it, but I guess the day has finally come. I must say though, even though it's just a website, this has to be one of the saddest days yet for me, just like I'm sure it's one of the saddest for most of the user base and almost all of the moderation staff.

When I discovered this site years ago. I found a home. A place where I was completely different from everyone else. Yet I was accepted, and felt comfortable here. Something I have never felt anywhere else. I was amazed, for I could find anything and everything I ever wanted to know. Finding Totse was the equivalent of being given the most sought after thing in the universe. Knowledge. When you started Totse.com I believe that you were trying to accomplish just that. To reach out to people and provide them with something. Provide them with a power of unmatchable force. Totse has done just that for thousands of us. You have given all of us an unmatchable gift and have impacted our way of life, and our minds.

For those of us that were able to discover Totse and call this place home for several years will not be the same without. I just like so many others have made the best of friends, learned what school could not teach, and had the best laughs I can remember. Thousand of people, along with myself would not be the same if it were gone. I just like so many others have made the best friends one could ever ask for, and met the most amazing people through this twisted, dysfunctional wonderland of never ending information we call home.

I ask of you one thing, to consider alternatives other then just pulling the plug. Please do not let us be lost again. Please do not take away the best thing in life for us. I know this is your baby, but it is our baby too, and we do not want to see it go. Taking away Totse takes away our knowledge, our power, our home. Please don't take away the best thing in our lives. Consider the other options.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do with what has been your for the past 20 years, I'm just putting some things out there.

One of them is keeping the site. Maybe adding a premium account system for a little extra money and adding Zok as a full site Administrator to take care of some of the work load. Zok is more then capable to help run things. Meeting him over the past weekend has shown me that his is trustworthy, knows what he's talking about and is more then capable of running this place along side you. I have faith in him.

A second, is to sell Totse. To pass on the torch to someone else. To give others the chance to discover this wonderful place, and to recieve the same gift that you have given to us. There are more then willing buyers and supporters of Totse. For example, Deus Redux. He has the capabilities, and I've grown to trust him very much.

Please. Jeff. let it be one of those two. Instead of pulling the plug. The Totse.com staff begs of you and I speak on their behalf when I say that we are here for Totse, like Totse has been here for us all these years. We do not want to see it go. Let us keep giving the gift that those of us now were so fortunate to receive.

this will probably be my last post ever on the temple :( I gotta get up really early in the morning to go to work. damn... I can't believe it is gonna be gone in a few moments. I remember discovering. Totse in 2004 or so. Now i'm definetly gonna miss this place this was and always be my other family even though i don't know everyone that well. I'll miss all of you guys and hope to see you in zok's forum.

We must not forever morn the loss of totse but remember all of the great times we have all had here. So goodbye totse I'll always remember the things you all taught me not just about cars, guitars, guns, drugs, bombs, sex and affection, you have taught me alot about myself too. so goodbye and hope to see everyone on the other side.

You all know all who I am, and we had some good fucking times. Been on the board since 2004, and Totse has been a big part of my life since. That might sound sad, but, you know. Totse opened my mind. It was like the Fight Club of the internet.
