Default hiding a gun in a car?

what is the best place to hide a gun in a car? and if you were pulled over from coming from doing something with it, would it be best just to let the cops search the car?

i think the best place would be like to pop the hood, go do what you needed to do, and when you got back, open up the air filter box and put it there, close the hood and drive off. what are some other ideas? opening and closing the air filter box might take too much time.

Yeah never give permission. You may seem slick, but really its not. He will either need probable cause or a warrant.

He can bring out his dog ( if he has one, or he can call one especially if the area is known for narcotics and such ) and give it a false command to signal detected narcotics. Then he proceeds to seach anyway.

if something happened, and you didn't give permission to search the car, then i figure if he gets a warrant then he'll really search the car. but i've never heard of a cop searching the engine compartment. especially not if you gave him permission.
