My family is decided to repaint and remodel my room. It's only going to be a couple years until I move out, and my parents want to repaint my room and remodel the furniture because I still have my star and moon stencils up from when I was six. We're totally redoing everything. We have an idea for a slightly asian-inspired room because I study the Japanese language and culture, and the fact that it'd be relaxing.

We're going to repaint the walls a light green, maybe a kind of lime, and all of the furniture in the room will be black. We're also replacing the carpet in my room, and I need a good color of carpet. I was thinking a kid of dark gray/black color, maybe something like gray 85-95%. Anyway, I need your ideas. What color should I use?

Wait. Shit. Probably should have posted this in DIY and Home Improvement. Someone please move, but don't lock.

Black.

Black seems a little too dark, white goes with everything, but might complement the green nicely and make the room brighter.
