Default Neodymium Magnets and Tags

Can neodymium magnets disable sensormatic strips and/or RFID tags inside of boxes?

For example, say there was a serial number someone wanted to get that was inside of a box. Could someone rub the magnets all over the box for a minute or two and would that effectively ruin the security of the box and allow someone to leave without setting off the alarms at the entrance/exit of a store?

These are the kinds of tags I'm talking about.

I'm just wondering if ordering some neodymium magnets online would be a wise investment.

If the magnets are capable of doing what I asked, what size, quantity, and strength would be required?

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING THAT!!!

Rubbing strong earth magnets on those tags will just increase your chances of getting the alarm off when you walk out of the door!
This is a REALLY bad idea!
I really don't know a good way to deactivate those besides just removing the damn thing and throw it away!
Good luck!

How does that increase the chance of getting caught?

Ok lets say you legally purchased a item with a Sensormatic strip and the cashier deactivates it using the pad deactivator. So now you walk out of the store without setting the alarm off. If you run your neodymium magnet through the strip and walk in the store with it you will set those fucking alarms off.
Get it now?
