DXM powder is pretty easy to find online in small and bulk. I doubt you have the equipment,chemicals,or knowlege to synth it yourself at home. Like the guy above said do an extraction on bottles of syrup, but its kinda pricey compared to the price of buying some online.

When I looked, I couldn't find it online, but seeing as that's what everyone's saying, it's probably out there. Anywho, you won't be able to synth' DXM (if you could, you should be synth'ing levorphanol, not the gay dextro isomer). If extractions your game, agent lemon has some pretty positive reviews, but it's not for the lazy man.

But as to your original question, DXM-->DXO would be a good thing. DXO is a more potent NMDA antagonist (the effect your looking for). Most of DXM's psychotropic activity is not that of DXM, but that of the DXO that is produced in the body from DXM. Having DXO would be like having stronger, fast acting DXM. IE, it would be better.
