Just, if you spend like 6 hours reading the free information you get from looking at search results in google, or youtube, you would understand the basic techniques and variations of growing very very well.

you can modify the seed kits by opening them taking out the seeds and putting in your own cannabis seeds. Use the setting for a tomato plant, since its light and water needs are close to that of cannabis. BTW, this thing automatically regulates the light, darkness, and water needs of your plant. Pretty cool huh? Best of all you can buy one for $80-$130 which isn't bad considering it does all the work.

you need some pots, some sand/mushroom compost/peat, some mild nutes, drip trays for the pots.

Pots: 6" for about 2 weeks till its good and strong, or do like smurfs do, and use the 2x3 little plastic packs that flowers come in from the store. can fit 6 good 2 week starts in 8"sq. then transplant to 3gal pots/bags

dirt: look it up, there are countless guides to soil mixes for pot. smurfs like 8mush:2sand:1vermiculite. drains fast tho..

nutes: look it up, so many diffreny ways. once, weekly, daily, every 15min, never, organic, on and on.

trays: anythign to catch the water runoff. disposable al turkey pans are groovy.

seeds: whatever floats your boat.

lights: cfl suck. wavelength stimulates stemy loose growth. can be used but just isnt good. same with halogen. metal halide are better than cfl but are still in the wrong wavelength for flowering. hsp are what you need for good dense buds. you can use cfl/mh to veg them since your looking for stem growth anyway, but not for flowering.

you can get non growing hps lights rather cheap. particularly low wattage ones. keep in mind you want >5k lumens/ftsq

venting: air in, our out. smell control. google carbon air scrubber. costs like 30$ to make. if you use cfl, you'll prolly have cold problems. if you use hps you'll prolly have heat problems.
