Never talk to police or tell them anything
Never keep anything illegal on your property.
Distribute information on a need to know basis

That kind of thing?

be prepared to start over
know the roads better then the cops
have a backup plan to your backup plan
always carry an extra pair of socks, handcuff key, and package of gum
stash large amounts of cash in hidden locations around your state
memorize that guys number who you spent a weekend hunting will. And tell him to expect a call asking for a place to lay low for a while at
Stash a change of clothes in another hidden location

-Put as much planning into it as you can.
-Rob a bank or something like that then you'll have no karmic debt; no individual person is gonna lose any money
-Being dead is better then years in prison
-Don't make any outragious purchases with your haul. Just use so you never have worry about bills, how much to spend at the the store, how much it's gonna cost to fix your car, whatever.

-Try and go some good with the money also.

Resist the urge to talk to ANYONE about illegalities. This includes family , friends , other criminals , your fucking shrink.... ANYBODY. Yeah sometimes you want to say stuff or ask stuff , fact is thats adding complications to your information security.

Train in self defence absolutely. You need to be able to pop that guy back and keep standing. In dealing , its a given that physical skills are needed. Don't even say your 'gonna pop a cap in his ass' . FUCK that. Beat him down and your not looking at 10 - 20 inside.

Trust is a really hard one. It's a very complex game , be aware that everyone has their own motives and some play a really really long game.

Take down a list of how you are at the neginning of your crminal days in terms of dress , associates , car , house and lingo. Keep to that fucking list or people WILL talk @ the very least. You DONT want people talking about how you gotta new Caddy or some shit. Exception is you don't really need to watch for people saying your crazy or a tough guy. Fitness is of the utmost importance. Go for runs regularly, and work on your upper body strength (e.g. weight-lifting, swimming). When it comes down to it, it's all about how fast you can run, and the fences you can climb.

On a side note, if escaping pursuit, don't run in a straight line. This allows them to gradually gain ground on you. The idea is to keep changing direction and put as many obstacles between you and them as possible. Each time you do this, they have to stop and evaluate, and possibly relay your direction to others.

For me my golden rules are as followed..


1. Never snitch.

2. Loose Lips Sink Ships. It's probably human nature to want to brag and shit after you hit a sweet lick. People runnin their mouth sometimes get caught this way.

3. Don't talk to police. Don't disrespect police. If they have you pulled over or questionin you don't be an asshole, if your atleast respectul you may catch a break. If they ask to interogate you for some licks you may or may not have hit, don't do it without the presence of a lawyer. IF you dont have to do it, don't. They record that shit and will talk to you for hours waiting for you to slip up or make slight changes to your story. It's best to remain silent. If they have enough shit on you they'd arrest you, your just making their job easy.

4. Weigh Risk vs Reward. And as someone else says no the law. Ask yourself is it worth it to make a few g's doin this then get locked up for 10 years.. hell in 10 years you could make far more than a few g's doin low risk shit.

5. Do it yourself. Then theres no one to tell on you if shit gets deep. Sometimes you need someoen to help you move some shit but if you don't have to dont do it. Its more money for you anyway.

6. Don't get greedy. Greed gets people caught.

7. Have patience.

8. Have a good game plan, don't go into shit half assed. Think. Think of all possible things that can go wrong, think of all possible ways to get away if the need arises.

9. Make sure no ones home during burglaries, it turns it into a home invasion.. you get ALOT more time. Once inside the first thing you want to do is unlock every door open every window so you can get out of there fast.

10. Don't hold onto stolen shit for too long, if police suspect you and they get a warrant your ass is grass. No matter how bad that tv or computer might be, aint worth the charge.

11. Don't deal with in the state where you did the shit pawnshops on hot items. I've broke this rule before once or twice but thankfully was lucky. Police have a database all they have to do is search for the item that was stolen and boom your busted.

12. Don't carry drugs on you if you dont have to. 11 months in jail aint fun for just havin 1 pill.

13. IF your doing dirty with someone. And it gets a bit to hot, say you get popped or they try to interview.. They're going to say your boy said this and that and rolled over on you even if he didn't... They are allowed to lie, all they care about is gettin a confession out of you. Even if someone did rat, its already out of the bag and you can handle your bizz eventually.

An idea(not really a rule) is if you make bulk cash from, say, dealing, use the cash to pay for bills and food, then put the money you earn from a real job towards your house.

With cops:

If you haven't been arrested:
Be polite but normal around them, don't cause them any suspicion.
Do not give consent for any searches, if they need your consent to do it then don't give them it and they can't, if they don't need it then there's no reason to consent anyway .. if that makes sense.
Don't give away any incriminating information, don't make up shit on the spot.
If you have been arrested:
DON'T SAY A WORD. All you legally have to do is give them your name and address, after that, don't say anything, just reply with 'no comment'. Any information you're giving them is information they didn't have before.
