Wherever the Lord calls me
Default Japan

Hi Everybody,

Japan is an interesting place. No I have not traveled all over Japan but I have been there and I have observed some things. Japan is not the high tech place you have been led to believe, certain places in Japan are like that, most are not. The Japanese are years ahead in some of their inventions and technologies and decades behind in their administration, methods and procedures. Japanese young people often feel oppressed and suffocated by their countries cultural expectations of them. When they get away from their culture they often rebel dramatically and do wild and crazy things as if trying to make up for lost years of youthful fun. Japanese men can have a dark and weird side that I won’t comment on in detail but sufficient to say all is not as it seems on the surface sometimes. The population generally lives in denial about the countries world war two atrocities and school text books pass over the war except to detail the terrible things that happened to the Japanese people including of course the dropping of two nuclear bombs on their cities. Emperor worship which was supposed to be abolished after world war two is not dead, it is just dormant. It can be revived at a future point if so desired.

Japan definitely needs missionaries. It is a hard place to minister and Japanese people are hard to reach. Japanese churches have a disproportionate number of women to men in them. Men are hard to reach and heavily influenced by the opinions of their peers and work friends. Pray for the missionaries there they do it tough. The winter weather can be ferocious. The cost of living is exorbitant. They need help to stay there and endure all these hardships. The see little fruit compared to many other fields. Pray that the Lord would send more laborers and open a door to the hearts and souls of the Japanese people.

Regards,
Dr Pastor Emeritus Wayne Sehmish

What Japan needs is a good ass beating. I'd love to see the look on all of the Wapanese kids faces when we drop a castle bravo on their asses.

I'm so lost. Why is this in humanities? Maybe travel/My God would be a more proper place for this thread. Sure Japanese has its oddities, but so does every country. I don't see bringing them religion as helping their social problems. The U.S. has more religion than imaginable and the divorce rate is still high (moreso among born-again Christians than others), there are many single-parent families, and high rates of incarceration.

What Japan needs is a Crusade called against it's modernist and pagan ways.

We must follow this with witch hunting.

Nobody needs you to do their reasoning for them. Nobody needs you to make their choices for them. Your reasoning and your conclusions are not better then anyone's.

If the well-being and freedom of other people is something you value, then your quest to dominate other humans is silly. So I don't think you really value the well-being and freedom of other people.

You speak of reasoning, yet you reply with such anger. I'm going to pray that the Lord would calm the tempest that is your angry heart.

Don't worry, I forgive you for what you said.

I don't believe we'll ever encounter each other in reality, as long as you stay out of the greater third world, which I suggest you do.

God Bless,
Dr Pastor Emeritus Wayne Sehmish

Your initial question "what does God want" and the phrase you previously used, "to want for" have two different meanings. Considers such phrases as "Whoever has God wants for nothing" and "The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want".

Your misunderstanding of this is truly worrying. I shall pray for wisdom to come upon you.

God doesn't want anything from you Wayne.

It is your desire to dominate other people, not God's. The rest of the world will not accept your desire to control it.

You are mistaken. God wants many different things from us, for instance he wants us to "Love the Lord God with all your heart" and to "love your neighbour as yourself". And lets not forget the Great Commission.

If it was infact my desire then you are correct. But as it is not, you are incorrect.
