No, it doesn't jam, and it has the bolt forward assist. My guess is it was made between 1967 and 1970.
At any rate, it was pretty banged up outside, but the internals were brand new, unfired. There was no wear at all inside before we shot it, and very slight wear after.

it's a colt AR-15 sp1 (service production 1)
it is on of the first civilan ar-15 relased witch is why it has the foreword assist but the older style hand gards and stalk

No dude that is a M16. It is full auto. Lke he said it was from vietnam not a civ rifle. The ar15 sp1 was a SEMI ATUO rifle. What lavard has is a FULL AUTO select fire m16.
