I was outside of chicago and i got pulled over because my tags were 2008,and not 2009 on the first day of 2009. What a fucking asshole.

Anyways, I got caught with like 1g of weed(if that) and a one hitter. I posted a 75$ bond and got out. they gave me all the shit and the ticket says february 9th is the court date.

What should I do?

If i completely ignore it,will I just have a warrant in the state of illinois ? Or what?

Yeah, you'll have a warrant in Illinois, a misdemeanor warrant though. If you get arrested in the state you live in, they'll pull you up on NCIC before you leave the jail, see the warrant in another state, call the state, and they'll refuse to pick you up on it. You'll be released. But I would just go to court, unless you live enitrely too far, then I would at least ask the court to transfer the case. They should work with you.

Don't go to court then and deal with the consequences.

You'll lose $75, and won't be able to renew your passport.

No bounty hunters will come after you, seeing as you used your own money.

Just go do it. Enter a guilty plea and take the punishment. I don't think they'll give you jail time for a gram.

Edit: Nvm. 2.5grams and under is 30 days in jail, unless its your first possession conviction. You'll get 2 years probation if it's your first. Just don't go to Illinois for 2 years.

Uh. What you do is go to the city/county/state court that your ticket is in or risk a state warrant where if you ever get stopped in your state you will be arrested and thrown in jail on the spot and shipped to the state where the warrant is.

They don't fuck around like that and let you get away with it.
