Well in the northwest it's very hard to get, at least where I'm located. I've never been successful in finding it, and I've only heard of one other person my age getting a hold of it, but when they were much younger.

You're not going to find mescaline or peyote up here. It's not hard at all to find San Pedro though. You can buy it at most garden centers, I've even seen it at Home Depot. Once you get some of that, extraction isn't that difficult. Look it up on erowid or something, there are methods all over the place.
