my buddy just bought a beautiful glass piece up home but is heading back to school after new years. begs the following question: what are bltc's thoughts about bringing a magnificent used bong across the border into the US on land? would any amount of cleaning remove all possibly incriminating resin, if there happened to be any?

also the same person spoke of mailing small amounts of chron/hash across... sound legit?

I assume that you're coming back in from Canada, and the two times I've driven back into the US from Canada my car wasn't checked at all. But you could get fucked. I don't think that any amount of cleaning could remove enough resin to pass a border inspection if you're searched. Tell your friend to leave the bong with a friend, it'll be there next semester.

Clean it as best you can then mail it.

If you clean it properly, even if they find your tobacco bong, they won't mind.

You mean water pipe. If your friend just got the bong I can't imagine there is much resin in it. Formula 420 is a mixture I brought for $10 and it turned my bong from gross to brand new. I heard high concentrate rubbing alcohol mixed with an abrasive to scratch off resin works just as well but doesn't leave the awesome orange taste

Rubbing alcohol + epsom salt, mix in a big ziploc bag or something, put bong into bag, let sit overnight. Will make your device absolutely fucking spotless, and you just rinse it off with water after to get rid of the smell of the ethanol.

As long as the province he's coming from and the state he's going into don't have laws against 'water pipes,' even if they're unused, he'll be fine. It's not illegal if there's no resin.
