Bad situation (regarding pharms).
Okay I'm pretty sure I broke my wrist today, it's been throbbing pretty bad for a few hours now. I'm gonna go to the doctors tomorrow and get it X-rayed, my problem concerning BLTC is when I broke bones in the past I've gotten Vicodins and Tylenol with codeine. The problem is neither of those relieve shit for me. I am thinking about telling the doc this then asking for oxy's. But I think they won't believe me and put drug seeking behaivior on my file. Do you guys think just suggesting they give me something stronger would cause them to write drug seeking behaivior? I really don't want to deal with the same pain I've had on my last 2 broken bones. Thanks in advance.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
you're a fucking pussy.
I got oxy's once.
when i stacked my dirtbike
shattered my hip and elbow, dislocated my left elbow and shoulder and both my wrists.
ended up getting pins in that arm.
you don't deserve oxys for a broken wrist, you need to man the fuck up.

Fuck you and suck my cock. I've been through enough shit to not just want to sit here with my wrist throbbing, I didn't say I needed it.

Are you typing with the other hand? Anyways just get whatever the fuck they give you and smoke a joint or two. If you are going to ask for better pain medicine ask for medicinal marijuana. Good luck:p

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
weed isn't the greatest for relieving sharp pains. it helped me with my fucking wisdom teeth when they were comin' in; i would wake up in the middle of hte night holding my mouth and i would smoke a bowl or two and be good for a few hours until i passed back out ('cause back then i didn't really fall asleep, i more or less passed out every night xD.) in any case or event, tell the doctor what you think you need to tell him. don't ask for oxycodone, tell him previously that hydrocodone and codeine didn't do a whole hell of a lot to relieve your pain and make it seem like you're in more pain than you're in if you're planning on pulling the shit off. just a throbbing wrist isn't gonna get you anything. try not to be a pussy, doctors wanna believe you ;)

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
Yeah I got oxys when I broke my arm so bad last year that it's fucked up for life, I'm 19 now. I have 2 titanium plates and 13 screws in my left arm and I can barely rotate it. When its cold outside I feel that shit in my arm.
For about 3 or 4 months I don't remember it was blurry I got a bottle of 100 percocet each month, just 5/325's. I can't even get pain killers now a year later and that shit really hurts a lot of the time doctors seem really suspicious. Good luck if they can't find something legitimately wrong on an x-ray or scan or something, it's like having to have evidence in a court case.

Yes, it almost certainly will.
I don't know if you're talking about oxycodone in general or OxyContin specifically, but it sounds to me like you're talking about OxyContin and believe me, that's a really sore spot for a lot of doctors right now. The shit is basically near (or already in) epidemic status, as far as abuse goes, and the last thing any doctor with two brain cells to rub together wants is someone with a broken wrist specifically requesting the shit by name on his very first visit.
I mean, you're aware that there are people with shit like degenerative disk disorders (and worse) who have to go through pain management for years before getting moved onto OC...right? It's not like it's a first-line treatment for anything, especially not now with everyone and their brother and sister and cousin and grandma and uncle and dog running around pushing OCs for $50 a pill.
Look, I'm not trying to lecture you about the whole "don't scam a doctor you piece of shit" angle, but the fact of the matter is that unless you have a shady PM doc who is taking envelopes of cash from you behind closed doors at some seedy walk-in clinic, you're not going to score OC unless you're in long-term pain management, and a broken wrist isn't going to qualify you for being a long-term patient.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
Oxy has a real bad reputation, so it's prescribed only for chronic long-term pain in opioid-tolerant individuals. You'll most likely get percocet or vicodin.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
I got two bottles of Oxycodons for a COMPOUND FRACTURE.... That's outta the skin son... Yeah, since then I've learned to not spend my free time skateboarding stoned and probably drunk, and that those kind of breaks are not worth drugs. And I broke nearly everything skateboarding when I was in highschool and the year after. Jesus. I need some drugs.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
Do not ask for drugs by name, ever.
Your best bet would be taking whatever he gives you with a smile. Wait till the next day and say the pills don't fucking work. If he tries to give you naproxen, tell him you've been popping a crapload of aleve already. They usually don't want you getting ulcers from their pills, so they gave me vicodin when i said that (because my neck hurt after a car wreck.)

I popped the two bones out of my forearm, got surgery and all those fuckers gave me was a bottle of 5/500 vics. Of course that was before I knew vics didn't relieve any of my pain.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
You could say that roxicodones have helped you with your past broken bones or something. Those are 15 and 30mg instant release I believe. Then you wont be asking for "TEH OXYCOTTONx"You could even call it "roxycodiene" to sound naive. Tell them the codeine and vicodin don't take care of the pain. I would take what they give you and call back and complain you are still in bad pain.

I really wasn't planning on suggesting anything anyway, I was just going to tell them my story and ask them what they recommend.

Re: Bad situation (regarding pharms).
Don't be a bitch. Just go to the doctor with the intent to get treatment for your injury and if they ask about pain in the end of the appt just tell them you haven't been able to sleep.
tramadol isnt that bad, neither is vicodin, you should just man the fuck up.....
when i sprained my ankle and broke my fibula(imagine your right ankle on the ground with your foot at a 90 degree angle to the left) i was in real pain but when they gave my 100 5/500 vicodins I didnt take even 1. I just turned around and gave them to my opiate addicted dad.
so quit being a little bitch and you are probably typing with that "broken wrist"....imagine not being able to fucking walk for a month.

I've never tried getting pills from a doctor but that method sounds fucking stupid and is probably a fool proof method of never getting any "good" pills even when you need them.
Just tell them honestly how much the pain is bothering you and don't mention anything specifically. Just say that the medicine they're giving you now isn't working and ask for "something stronger" without mentioning any names.
They're bound to listen if you're in real pain.

I'm typing with my non-broken hand, and like I already said to that other asshole getting injuries doesn't make you a badass. I've had enough bad injuries in my life to know that there is no point in sitting here with my wrist hurting without painkillers to be a hardass. The only reason I don't want vicodin is they don't work on me. If they gave me even mild pain relief and/or euphoria I would be happy with them, but they don't. So shut the hell up, just because you snapped your ankle doesn't make you the coolest kid on BLTC.

it has worked for me.
When I went on suboxone i told the doctor i had bought it ilicitly and used it and it worked fine for me. She forked over a precription of phenobarb and clonidine for the 24 hours i had to wait to switch over. And then she even let me do my suboxone induction AT HOME.
