You're over-complicating things. Of course it's real because it's more or less the same neurochemical cocktail that we come under the influence of whenever we feel "love" or whatever the ecstasy feeling is. And when we don't feel love, we simply don't feel love. Of course, this is taking a philosophically devoid approach to the matter, so it's really up to you to decide whether artificially inducing a feeling makes it real. You're the only one who can judge whether or not it was real for you.
