Default How to execute a combatant?

I was just looking into tips on how to kill someone (home intruder/burglar/shit like that) and thought Totse would be the perfect place. I don't have any experience in anything and need some tricks of the trade.
I'm 18 years old @ 6'3" 180lbs

I'm talking hand to hand combat/knife fighting/stuff like that, the easiest way to kill a motherfucker who wants to kill you.

EDIT: Oh yea in the past I've read some E-books on proper knife handling and technique...lol I said "execution" because I figured it would bring more people to read/reply, wouldn't the politically correct saying of it be "to take out the threat".

Get the largest gun you can handle. Shoot the guy. Repeatedly.

Any hand to hand or simple weapon stuff is going to require some training. You can't get that here. There is no magic technique that will turn you into a lethal badass.

Can't get firearms until I'm on my own. So I'll have to stick with knives and crap like that for now.

Knife fighting is something you want to avoid at all costs. Or any oher blunt object against blunt object fighting. I would suggest a shotgun for home defense they are cheap, powerful, pretty accurate, and reliable. A gun allows you to never have to even get close to the intruder.

Also, check your local laws on self defense and the use of lethal force for self defense in your home, on your property, etc.

i would say forget the knife, that makes it that you have to get to clost, a base ball bat or extendable baton would work and give you more reach, this is assuming your intruder is not armed with a firearm. Also what about a taser? that is always an option.

Yea I'm getting a shotgun when I have my own place. And yes I'm fully aware of my federal/state laws and plan on following them.

Were talking about situations in which its life or death and it's either you die or you kill.
EX: somebody high on PCP breaks down your door armed with a lethal object hes screaming hes going to kill you. or your in a corn field 50 miles from help and a guy with a chainsaw is after you....

sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

We get it.

However, to "execute a combatant" means to put a soldier to death in an execution setting.

PROTIP: Don't try to make yourself sound more knowledgeable than you really are by embellishing your language if you're gonna completely skewer the meaning you're trying to convey and sound like a complete ass.

A combatant is one who is engaged in combat, it doesn't necessarily mean a soldier.
Execute means to "carry out" or murder.

I'm not trying to be anything(other than make it sound more BA), this is just the way I talk :(

A justified killing in self defense is a fucking far cry and a half from an execution. If you want to kill someone, put as much lead and steel into the center of mass as quickly as possible. Do unto others before they do unto you, so to speak.

Honestly, a lot of training will be in order for you to remember complex things like stances and move and whatnot in a situation where you will fight for survival. Most people act irrationally in such a situation, and only condictioning will overcome it. Can you stab a shadowy figure to death?

One of the reasons for my sig is to ask an academic question with a reasonably simple answer. However, the solution to the second is not academic, and I suppose the answer itself can never be left to a rational mind. The same is with this. You will not be rational. It is not human nature to be rational in such a situation.

And I will not be sober.

Having had no real "professional" training nor any set program to back me up, perhaps I'm not the best person to speak about this.
However, it is my opinion that most stances and such develop discipline and muscle memory in the body.
But from what I know, when the grim reaper comes after you, you generally improvise. So I would figure all those stances and moves and such that they teach you serve to engrain stuff into your memory, to be recombined at the right moment.
Think of it like legos maybe?
What I can sure as hell tell you is that there isn't one "right" way of doing it. There are better ways than others, but sny way that gets your ass alive out of the pinch is the "right" way.
There is no elegance in real self- defense.
On the other hand, if, like me, you believe in God, then you must know that whatever the outcome is, it was for the better and it was exactly what was supposed to happen.
In short: Know your options. Escape routes, objects you can use to defend yourself. Ambush the perp. And strike. Repeatedly. Leave nothing for the wolves. Shotty is ideal. Baseball bat would be my next favourite. Hammer would perhaps be overrated, but do not rule out.
Thank you for listening,
LavaRed

Well I'm no expert in killing a combatant since they don't teach us that. Just how to disable them (like I want to disable not kill the mother fucker in combat Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)). But some of my buddies taught me how to handle a knife and while you always have that "my dick is bigger" syndrome wanting to hold it but the handle sticking up. Its actually easier and more deadily with the reverse grip holding it down with the blade facing outwards. You can get punches and slashes in w/ less chance of losing the knife when they try and reach for it or when you hit the ground.

Also if something like that actually happens to YOU, that bastard either knows what he's doing, or he's doped way the fuck out there, so please try it so another wannabe bad ass cannot spread his genes any further.:)

this.
or, u can try what i have heard to be called " bruce lee ice pick style"
this is personally mi favorite way to hold a knife because you are basically using it as an extention of your hand, arm, and fists.

step 1. out stretch your strong-arm with your palm facing down
step 2. put knife in hand, facing out, with the blade facing forward

there you go. its very easy to incorporate your blade(s) into any fighting style you have if you hold your knife this way. also, if the knife is long enough, you can use this knife holding technique to defend yourself against other blades, although this takes a lot of skill

Really? Is that really possible? How strong exactly is the grip you've described, it seems... flimsy?

No.

Neither of the two above are correct. There are pros and cons to each different knife hold (and there are more than two of them...).

all ive read is that its plausible. ive never actually accomplished in blocking a knife, ive never tried. truthfully, the best way to not get stabbed by a knife is to have something longer than a knife ( in example- baseball bat, pipe) or have a gun. no one with a knife will fuck with you if you have a gun, unless theyr mentally unstable. if you have nothing other than a knife, try kicking. a lot. it keeps u a a far enough distance away from theyr knife. ive actually kicked the knife out of someones hand before. i would not attempt this again, seeing how it was complete luck that he was holding the knife loose enough for it to fly out of his hand.

Without a weapon? Stamp on their throat a few times, choke them to death, break their neck.

I wouldn't kill someone who came into my home unless I had no choice though. Its a bad idea. Just knock them out and tie them up. Break a few bones.

People have gotten sued for that. If you have to act in self- defense it is better to kill, as quickly and cleanly as possible.

I don't know about you fellows, but I don't aim for a specific end result other than to stop my attacker in the quickest, safest (for me) way possible. Isn't that how self-defense is supposed to work?

Well, I would still be hesitant to use techniques like ripping out someone's eyes or throat if I wasn't absolutely sure that I had to. In some circumstances that I would call self-defense, I would; in others that I would also call self-defense, I wouldn't.

I would disagree. People have gone to prison for many years for doing that which is a little bit worse then a lawsuit imo. Much better to aim for a quick knockout. No need to kill to remove the threat. Not to mention it's a lot easier to knock someone out then it is to kill them (without a weapon)

I meant more the breaking a few bones part. Just knocking them out sounds sufficient to me.

That assumes they don't have a weapon and you are of sufficient size, strength, health, and ability to take your opponent on hand to hand.

And that you don't make them lose any teeth. That's a lot of if's.

Of course there are going to be a lot of ifs in a situation where you have a home intruder.

I would suggest a bat over a knife if you felt you had to use a weapon.

Knife:
1. Very close range
2. Likely lethal
3. Not instant
4. Can be turned on you easily by someone with skill or by chance in a grapple
5. Requires skill

Bat:
1. Mid range
2. Likely non lethal
3. Can cause instant KO
4. Can't find yourself with it stuck in your chest if you have to grapple over it
5. Easy to use

If you use a knife it is very likely that one of you is going to die and it might not be him. A bat has much more reach, aim for the back of the head and watch him drop like a sack of wet shit.

Bat, golf club, baton, ratton stick. I'd even suggest a hockey stick over a knife in most instances.

Make your pick.

You're either kidding or severely ignorant of how these situations tend to play out.

Even with training for knife use, I would never willingly choose a knife as a weapon when I have other options. This coming from someone who carries a knife practically 24/7.

Firearms are hardly point and click interfaces, especially handguns. I suggest you fire some under semi-realistic training.

Home defense:

1. Get a gun.
2. Identify your target.

If your opponent is not armed or you are in no real danger of being killed/maimed:

1. Aim gun at attacker.
2. Tell the guy to lie on the floor with his arms and legs spread and not to move.
3. Call cops.
4. Problem solved.

If you or someone else is in any way reasonably endangered by the guy:

1. Aim for center mass
2. Shoot repeatedly until the attacker falls down.
3. DO NOT SHOOT WHEN HE IS ON THE GROUND (unless there is still an obvious danger)
4. Call cops
5. Be ready for the bullshit that comes with defending yourself or others. Even if you are 100% justified, you will probably have to go to court where some crooked lawyer tries to drop some legal shit on you for doing the right thing.
6. [optional] find out where crooked lawyer lives, proceed in whatever way you see fit.
