Cars for a quick get away
Thinking about getting a car. What would be some features that would be necessary for a quick get away. Obviously a big engine is a must.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Big enough boot and enough backseats to put the loot.
A good decent chassis
Big brakes
Good suspension
You don't want something that will stick out too much either, keep it inconspicuous; debadge and degrill the car. Keep it standard as possible, just nice clean solid colours as well.
You want big and wide wheels though so you can get max traction for when the clutch is dumped.
Some decent coil overs and get some custom brackets so the roll bars will be stiffer so you get more feel through the wheel. This will help you greatly when whizzing round corners, which is the most important part.
Basically all you need is a big motor, chassis and brakes that can take some pounding.
Audis are good choices for get away cars.
Depends what type of job you're doing really though.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Well first, search for a popular car around your area. Say that popular car is a neon and most you have seen are blue. So get yourself a blue neon. That way it will be harder to pick out WHICH blue neon was used in the getaway. Now for speed? I just say don't go to long lengths to get tune-ups, it probably won't ever match a cop car in top shape but you DO need it running well to get away before the cops get there. Make sure you take it to the shop, the two main things are that it starts well and runs well. That means that it needs to start the first time you turn the key, not the 2nd or 3rd and it also needs to not stall out at all. And if you have the money and are solely intent on speed...I have HEARD that a Dodge Charger (right off the lot) can outrun MOST police cruisers..Not 100% on that but I have heard it.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Fuck a big engine that just means more way to slow you down. You can get a MazdaSpeed3 w/turbo running 260hp thats about a thousand pounds lighter then any V6. Quick, light and roomy for a lot of shit to fit in there.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Have two cars, 1 stolen to make the initial get away (this can be a shity car such as a 95 camry or something along those lines). Then switch cars, and then both can be shit.
Not many cars (or drivers themselves) are good enough to outrun the 5-0. Get a 4 wheel drive car for sure though, cause if you have front wheel drive, you will understeer and crash. If you get rear wheel then you'll spin out. (under preasured situations such as a police chase). STI, Evo, Audi, BMW xi versions

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Buy a tank. No one will want to mess with you.
Tanks can be driven on the road with rubber shoes placed on their tracks.
Last year some faggot who was pissed off with his mobile phone service used an armoured personnel carrier to smash up mobile phone towers in Western Sydney.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
My favourite is the X5. Around here everyone has them, as long as there isn't big nigger rims on it it doesn't look heaty at all and it FUCKING RIPSSSSS. Gotten away from alot of cops in an X5. But i've also gotten away from cops in an 03' Malibu..So I guess it doesn't really matter as long as it can go relativly fast and you spot the cops before there full on chasing you.
My advice is if you see a cop and he goes to turn around and follow you or anything like that just rip around the nearest corner, go full throttle down the street, take a left, right, right, left.. whatever, then park the car, make sure nothing illegal is visible, get out and lock it then walk away.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
This is a pretty stupid thread, the only actual answer is a cheapo car that ISN'T registered to you. Everyone loves to fantasize about running from the cops, but you can't outrun a radio. Of course you can get away, the first 3-5 minutes of the chase are SO important. The absolute win-all vehicle however, is a big on/off road bike.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
If you dont have to have extra space for anything, a dirt bike will outmaneuver a crown vic any day. If you need a full size car i would go with a 90's SS impala. Relatively cheap but fast as fuck.

Re: Cars for a quick get away
Something light and quick. Manual ftw.
Civic is good, make sure it's supercharged. Rip out any unneeded weight.
A friend has an Evo, and it's the shit.
WRX is also good, but strip it of any unnecessary weight.
As someone else said, you can't really outrun them. The goal is to get as far away as you can without encountering them at all.

But you all forget there are other people to outrun besides cops like, gangsters, tweakers, and fathers who catch with their daughters.

this.
Unless you are planning on robbing a bank and want a car to get away in after you paraglide through the window, just before mommy wakes you up for school,
then you can't afford any of these cars.
Even in this fantasy where there is no technology, witnesses or helicopters, you won't outrun the police with a fast car with a big engine.

250cc trailbike. Can go almost anywhere. If you have strength and balls, 500cc.
