So I'm a bass player, been playing for about 2 years now. I play a bit of guitar, but don't like it as much as bass. However, I've always wanted to learn piano, and my friend is offering to lend me his keyboard for practising.

I'm a melodic metal fan, so I'll be wanting to play things such as Sonata Arctica, Children of Bodom, Enternal Tears of Sorrow...

Has anyone got any protips for learning the basics of keyboarding? I've played a tiny tiny amount of piano at my Mum's, but not much. Could play the start of Fur Elise and Old Macdonald and that was about it. :o

Anyway, any advice would be awesome. Cheers.

I would imagine that playing keyboard and playing piano are quite different once you get past the basics.

But, I'm a guitar player, I don't really know.
