hahah thanks for the good laugh, aside from his preachy demeanor he was right. unless you're getting raped by your dad or humiliated intentionally by your mother you should treat them with as much respect as you can. even if they are minimally nice to you and generally neglect you and are oblivious to you, they deserve your respect. they are your god damn parents and when you have kids you are going to expect the same.

If they're going to do it, and teens and trying to get high is pretty damn inevitable, they might as well have the facts & know what they're doing, the alternative would be far worse. Imagine some teen with stuck up parents who block internet sites and tell him drugs are universally bad; if he or she truly gets the idea that he wants to get high, no matter what anyone says, I'd rather he knew what was going to happen before he just went ahead and grabbed the diphen.

This. I'd say don't get me started, but I wouldn't even know where to begin.

My parents miraculously found out after I chewed down 1/3 of dad's valium. I honestly can't remember much after that but I think I may have gone back for more. Ironically, aside from having to tell the doctor I stole his prescription there was no reprocussions and they actually found if funny more than anything else; I was mostly told not to steal drugs from family rather than not to do drugs.

That all being said I am sure I was respectful to them when I was stumbling around the house, to whoever the prick was that upset's his mother.
