I actually went and legitimately got a prescription for 30 5/500 Hydrocodone. It even comes with a refill.. I got the bottle The day before yesterday, how long should I wait before going for the refill?

Every time i got a controlled medication, the doc told me to come back and see him to get a refill, which leads me to believe they cant put refills is the system(for controlled meds) you have to get them to rewrite the script. At least that's how it works in my area...

if your in America Schedule II medications don't include refills iirc...

i don't think hydrocodone is a schedule II medication [but oxycodone is?]..

The lady isn't an idiot, and it even says so on the bottle, REFILL:1 - As well as she told me in the office when she was doing her exam.

I know to get my Adderall refilled I have to get a rewritten prescription from my doc. So its not the traditional refill where you just go to the pharmacy and top up.

Yes, you can have refills on hydrocodone.

Hydrocodone becomes schedule II if a single dose is 15mg or greater...

Hydrocodone is Schedule III which allows one refill. Schedule IIs require new scripts every time but a doctor is allowed to write three scripts at a time, in order for the patient to not have to come back to see him for a while. For example I just saw my psychiatrist about a week after filling my Adderall and he gave me three scripts for January, February and March, which means I don't have to see him again until the April fill is near-due.

I got 40 10mg hydro's with 1 refill after my surgery. If you want your insurance to pay for it you're gonna have to wait a month or so. I'm pretty sure you can refill it whenever but if it is before a month you're gonna pay out of pocket

Go tell your pharmacist you'd like to pay out of pocket for your Xanax refill two days after getting the first batch and let me know what his response is.

You have to wait until the original script is gone. Not when you eat them all but when they should run out if taken as directed. sometimes you can refill a few days early but sometimes you cannot refill until your down to the last day of the previous script.

Refilling early is looked down upon and if you frequently need early refills they will cut you off. In this case it is different because it is 1 time thing. You have to wait until however loong they were SUPPOSED to last and then get your refil.

That's not true. I've yet to find a pharmacy that is Nazi about someone getting a 2 or 3 day early fill. People have erratic and irregular work/school/social schedules and if you don't seem like a fiending sketchy junkie then you're probably not going to arouse suspicion if you come for a fill a few days early.

Some pharmacies (that I've seen, at least) actually allow fills when 80% of the script is gone; ie., 12 pills left on a 60 count script, which for a T BID prescription would be 6 days early. Don't do that shit all the time, though.
