Last night I tried heroin for the first time. I was disappointed. I was expecting to get that rush I always hear about when the plunger went down, but I didn't feel anything at all for at least a couple minutes. I was high for maybe 3 hours after that and then I just felt really tired. It did not seem like what I've always thought doing heroin would be like at all. No rush, wtf?

The answer is obvious:

heroin is not how they make it out to be in the movies. but also if that's how you felt. then it wasn't that good or maybe you even missed the vein. and saying how you felt something a couple of minutes later really sounds like the latter.

Maybe you should take it as a sign that you weren't meant to turn into a junkie.

Oh yeah, heroin is VERY overrated. People will still insist "Oh, you must have gotten crap!" because they watched Trainspotting a few too many times, or it's the only opiate they use habitually (nostalgic towards it). Shit, opiates in general are overrated. It's not like the best orgasm ever, it's not like heaven, it's just like being happy and itchy for a little until you come down then you feel grumpy and sleepy.

I snorted mine the first time and it hit me hard as hell.. Not overwhelming but a very very very strong opiate buzz, I had little tolerance but I could tell it was no powdered oxy or fentanyl..


I was extremely euphoric , yet it was very sedating after the effects took over after about a good 30 minutes.

try it again by snorting it.

you got bad shit or didn't get hit directly, trust me. but don't do it again for your own sake.. and that's real talk stranger.

If I had missed the vein, wouldn't it have fucked up my arm at least? It's been about two days and I can barely even see the spot where I injected it. I'm just confused because it was my friend's first time trying it too, and he said he could understand how people could faint from getting the rush, and he did about the same dose as me.

My best guess is I did just miss the vein, fucking bullshit. So much for letting someone who supposedly knew what he was doing stick a needle in my arm....
