Oxy Tolerance
When i started using oxy, 10mg would get me high then it went up to 20mg then after a while it took me 50mg to achieve the same effect. I havent used in a little over two months, would my tolerance be all the way back down now??

Re: Oxy Tolerance
How much did you use? For how long? How frequently? Did you use any other opes since then?

Re: Oxy Tolerance
Were you taking magnesium? No? Of course not.
YOU WONT GET A TOLERANCE TO OPIATES IF YOU TAKE MAGNESIUM!!
And yes, your tolerance will be back down after 2 months. At least it should be. If you were really binging beforehand (eg 100+mgs/day) then it would take longer, but 50mgs/day isn't that bad for oxy.
As for the magnesium, buy a thing of tablets. If you look around, you can find a bottle of 100 for $4. Compared to the oxy, it's dirt cheap. Take 1, 5 minutes before you dose, and another 2 hrs later. Post results.

Magnesium is the body's natural NMDA antagonist. The top article is a tad uncredited and erroneous, but the bottom article is widely accredited. Theoretically DXM would work as well, but it's more expensive, and frankly, I have more faith in magnesium. In the past few weeks there have been tons of threads on "OMGZ, I'D IN W/D FROM OPIATES" And it's all for nothing. I make no claims, guarantees, or endorsements, but the studies done are pretty conclusive. I recently did a paper on the subject and there are MANY documented cases of tolerance inhibition.
As for a pseudoscience explanation, opiates cause a bunch of firings in sensitive parts of the brain. These firings are not related to the recreationality of opiates, but a by product of it. The sensitive parts of the brain are not meant for that level of firing, so they begin to desensitize and shut down receptor cites. They can be inhibited by NMDA antagonists.
