The coating on OC pills is not the time release. Its just a coating to make it dissolving evenly. Peeling it off and swollowing it is still time released. Read the ingreditents of the pill compared to IR oxy pills. There is a chemical in it that makes it CR. I just cant think of it right now.

I have read in an article about crisping teva 80s (green oval 93 33) that bullshit claim about 80mg XR pill containing 160mgs of oxycodone after crushing or something equally ridiculous.

And in brand name OC there is no chemical that makes it CR, it is just the binder and binding tek that makes the pill hard/dense enough to take long to digest fully. Generics might have wax that turns to gel

OP, if you don't do anything about the time release, the 80 mg will be spread out through 12 hours. so you'll be getting about 20 mg every 3 hours.
