How bad is the consequences
of getting caught smoking weed in a dorm room? because i know when i go to college in like half a year i'm going to want to smoke mass bowls and chill out in my room and play video games, etc...
My mom said you can get expelled for it. but i know that's bullshit. but what could happen? a fine or some shit? (btw I live in California and want to go to UCSB. which happens to be the second stonerest school in cali, next to humboldt)

Re: How bad is the consequences
Just be smart about it and don't get caught. It's not really that hard depending on the room set up.

dorms are a terrible place to live. Get an apartment with a friend, or better yet, lease a house with a group of friends.

Re: How bad is the consequences
4 kids in my dorm building got expelled after a drug investigation into the buyers of a dealer(lived and sold in the dorm) that just got busted, and the police just happened to come knocking while they were burning.

Re: How bad is the consequences
It depends on the college, some have 3 strike systems and some have zero tolerance that I know of.
If it's a 3 strike, you're looking at a slap on the wrist the first time. Zero tolerance... if you're not using a vape, it may not be worth it when you could just go to an apartment.

How bad ARE the consequences....
Good luck getting into college...
Also, no. You won't get expelled, especially in Cali.
If you get caught a couple more times then it might become a problem...But even then it probably won't be a big deal...Just go get a prescription for anxiety...Vaporizer and you're fine.

Expelled and/or lose funding.
Infact getting caught with any illegal drugs, can, and often does, result in a loss of scholarship/funding.

Re: How bad is the consequences
Where I'm at it's zero tolerance. Kicked off campus and you lose scholarships, but you're not expelled.
It's most likely spelled out in plain english in the student handbook. Take a look.
And for God's sake don't choose your college based on it's drug policy.

I second the med card motion. I'm pretty sure they can't do shit if you have a card.

Smart man, i forgot im getting medical once i move out because i actually have quite a few legit reasons (depression, etc.)
and no I did not choose UCSB because its a stoner party college. I chose it because i've been there and it's not just one of the best UC campuses but also because it is a really calm environment with cool people and like 2 nobel prize winning professors or some shit.

Re: How bad is the consequences
Depends on how strict the school is. I know kids who have kicked out of school for getting caught drinking a couple times. On the other hand at mine we played beer pong in the freshman dorm hallways and would blaze in the stairwells. We never got more than a reprimand from security.
