Citalopram
I was prescribed this about 5 days ago. The doctor told me it shoud take about a month to kick in.I was wondering if any of you knew any interesting information about its side effects and what you've felt from it personally.

Re: Citalopram
I once took 4 pills of it (unknown mg), 2 30 mg Adderall and a quarter Suboxone. I ended up puking in the middle of school then blacking out and ending up at home almost asleep against my wall with and empty bag that was once full of pills.

Re: Citalopram
Celexa helped me get through a hard time in my life and it really did start to help about 2-3 weeks in. Side effects: Headaches when taken with ADHD Meds such as Adderall or Dexedrine. You become a little more lethargic but if you exercise it won't be an issue. It really did help me for the year and a half I used it. I started looking at issues in a far more reasonable manner and kept me from being OCD about them. I got off of it approximately a month ago. Use it until you feel you have sorted out your personal issues. Getting off of it makes you feel as though you have a bad case of the flu although. I'm a far better and happier person from taking Celexa and sorting my life during the time I used it.

presumably your suffering from depression, i was on it for 2 months, it doesnt do anything, so i gave that shit up, instead I exercised and ate healthier, youve just got to change your lifestyle slightly. Also once you come off it you'll suffer horrific nightmares, which I found enjoyable but for most unbearable.

Re: Citalopram
I was prescribed Celexa, it made it incredibly hard for me to fall asleep despite my psychiatrist telling me it would help me sleep. When I did manage to sleep I would wake up shaking covered in sweat and nauseous as hell. I quit taking it after a few days because I felt to miserable on it to go to school or get anything done.
It really helps some people though, who knows, maybe the side effects would have died down and it would have helped me eventually. I really couldn't handle the side effects though.

Re: Citalopram
When I was prescribed Citalopram (About four months ago is when it started kicking in) I got some pretty bad diarrhea, but then I switched to Fluoxetine and am doing much better.

Re: Citalopram
Personally, 20 mg of Celexa had no noticeable effect as far as increasing or decreasing depression at the time I was taking it but it made me feel very edgy and agitated, like a constant nic-fit except you have no idea what the cause of your irritation is.
