Default Anyone know how to download videos from VH1.com to save on a hard drive?

I'm trying to download some videos from VH1.com, to save to my hard drive, but I'm having no luck. :(

On the VH1 website they have episodes from many different VH1 television shows. Many of these television shows are 60 minutes in length.

Some people say you should use RealPlayer when downloading a VH1 video. I don't think the people giving that advice ever tried downloading a VH1 video with RealPlayer. I tried using RealPlayer but RealPlayer didn't work.

RealPlayer allowed me to download only the first 10 or 20 seconds of a video. That's no good, because the first 10 or 20 seconds of the video is a paid commercial advertisement from a store, a toothpaste company, a soap company, or a credit card company. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I tried many times, maybe ten times in all, using various strategies: At various times I would start the download at the beginning, middle and end of each video, but still no luck, RealPlayer would not download the entire video.

I cannot download a VH1 video using RealPlayer, I tried many times and failed each and every time. Maybe VH1 blocks RealPlayer? Confused

RealPlayer never gave me an error message. RealPlayer went through the motion of downloading each video, but it never did download one successfully.

Anyone out there have any ideas?

The download preventing those sites use is top of the line.

OrbitDownloader is a good at download embedded media but even it has troubles with some sites.
They really don't want people downloading TV Shows :p

You may wish to look into a program called camtasia.
it will record any window on your screen.
If you can see it , it will record it.
but it doesn't "download" the file.
So maybe it's not what you want.
