Default Plastique Thermite?

Has anyone considered a plastique Thermite? Does such a thing exist?

I realize the applications may not be huge or that it's a very practical thing in the first place but I am curious.

I just realized how misleading the topic title is. I mean, in general, mixing Thermite with platic, of course.

My main thoughts now aren't on just plastic but mixing it with a Napalm variant. Probably Polystyrene based but with variants in the fuel. For example instead of Benzene and Gasoline I might be adding nitro methane and encapsulating the Thermite in shavings of Magnesium. I am not convinced simply mixing it in will work as efficiently.

Any thoughts?

Omfg, it just occurred to me. If this were to work and I put it in a Molotov cocktail I would be breaking some kind of record here on Totse. Thermite, Napalm, and Molotov's, it's almost the work of god.

So ... you want to mix thermite with "a" plastic, not the explosive plastique?

Well, there's been attempts of mixing thermite with acrylic, but it didn't work any better than just putting the stuff into an envelope as far as "keeping it toghether" was concerned.
You're also not the first one to think of thermite molotovs, now if only there was someone here with a vast knowledge of incendiaries and slowburning compositions to tell you how to make that work ...

According to this guide it can be done via mixing it with clay or play doh

Yes but not Napalm infused with Thermite in a Molotov cocktail.

Wouldn't putting it in clay harden the clay?

i have this feeling that if you were to thicken a petroleium product and you had a hermogonous mixture of iron oxide and aluminum you would need to have a high percentage of magnesium to bring heat to this all .. problem is you also need to have ALOT of thermite in you molitov ... it is going to be like a big runny metalic paste now weither or not the flame from the moltive ignites the magnesium or not diffrent story but for sure worth a shot try dry mixtures magnesium and thermite and see if you can come up with a descent flame sensative mixture

have to say the idea is really not new, but kinda cool to muse over. i really have to ask what you are going to use it for really. I honestly think any tactical use of thermite that could be used in a moldable is done in faster ways really.
however i think that a plaster mix could work okish..i think the water in the mix would cause a steam explosion and send slag everyplace if you were thinking of a mix and light thing.
