So I've decided to buy some acid since it sounds like something way different than anything before, I just smoke weed and drink, occasional DXM most the time but have decided its time to bring my mind on a trip. A few tips would be good first though, how bad can these bad trips be? Something bearable or is it like being in a nightmare? Will I be completely out of reality, and would I be able to eat or go places when I'm tripping out? Also should I be around anything that's breakable? I'm having a tripsitter just in case I go to far. Advice is appreciated.

A good acid trip can be the most amazing experience of your life...
A bad trip, is more of focusing so intensely on the darkest parts of your life that its not fun, but can be a learning experience if you actually try and work through it.... Set and Setting are more important than you realize, its not a party drug, or something to fuck you up, its a powerful experience....


Will I be completely out of reality, and would I be able to eat or go places when I'm tripping out?

Simply put, on a hit or two your first time you will still be in reality enough to probably not have anyone really notice unless you start doing something stupid... Eat a light meal before the trip, your probably not going to be hungry and if you do, i recommend oranges, or strawberries... A good place to go would be a park, or nature reserve, have your sitter drive you if you really decide on having one...

You wont lose coordination in a drunken sense... The first intentional LSD trip included a long bicycle ride... I honestly do not like trip sitters, make sure they understand in advance not to constantly ask you "are you tripping", "what are you seeing" and things like that, it gets fucking annoying, and make sure you can tell them to just leave you alone if you wish to be alone for a bit... Having a friend trip with you is more fun than having a friend with you....

Although many people on here will berate me for saying this; just take one your first time. Unless you are extremely lucky you are not going to be blown out of the world. It should be a (relatively) mild trip that will let you function as you wish to (with a massive smile on your face ha ha) and give you a good tasting. After this you can drop two or three.

Prepare to experience the world as a child again.

a bad trip will make you feel like a complete pussy so dont be around people you dont like who arnt chill with you tripping. Definetly draw some shit on acid. I also LOVED looking at gestalt ink blots with a couple other people and it was just so fucking cool how everyone interpreted the blots.

I took 1.5 my first time, split 3 tabs with a friend and we tripped together.... It was the best experience of my life, and i tripped hard... it was overwhelming and intense... But when it was all over and i looked back, i wished i had just gone and done a bit more...

It was a fun night, expect to be a little bit spontaneous...

i was walking down the road with my friend at 1am peaking and my friend was like "dude i feel like running" and just took off down the road.... and i chased him... On the way back to his house a car was behind us and he was like "dude, theres a cop car behind us" and it took just about every ounce of self control i had not to just run like hell into the woods. but he just went right on by...

In my experience the setting is pretty much the main factor between a good trip and a bad trip. A bad trip IS a nightmare but you'll usually look back at it as a beneficial experience after all is said and done. If you don't like the trip or it's too intense just go outside, but the beach is key during an acid crisis. Unless you're tripping balls and experiencing mega ego-death, doing things in public on LSD is quite enjoyable and exciting. Having only experienced weed, booze and dex (blah), you might want to ride out the first few hours of the peak in an environment you can control just to experiment with how deep it can take you before you decide to potentially make a fool of yourself. You can sometimes of lapses of judgment or not think something through and end up breaking something, so just make a point to keep overly aware if you do find yourself around breakables but it's not like your going to stumble around belligerently. Trip sitters on LSD is personal preference but I don't recommend one. If you choose to have a sober friend, make sure he's more or less content with his own reality so he doesn't constantly try prying into your own state of consciousness. There's nothing worse than, "Are you tripping yet?", "Ya feeling anything?" and "Does this trip you out?" being forced upon you.

It's pretty damn profound but a moderate dose is nothing you shouldn't be able to handle. I find the first few hours to consist of intense visuals with the later stages switching to more of a profound head-high with occasional visuals. It starts off within the first hour with an anxious, hollow [butterflies in your stomach] feeling which gradually turns into your visual trip. Your first visual will be quite noticeable and will leave you with a sense of, "Woah..." Then objects start "crawling" and become heavily textured like the texture is part of it but not at the same time. Then the wavy acid vision begins.

Enjoy it. Every time I trip (not very often, every 6 months or so) it feels like a milestone in my life's story. I'd say drop it 2 or 3 hours before the sun goes down.

Yeah and do it with a good friend. There's nothing quite like sharing the experience and having someone else there that sees things on your level.
