Default Need a little help with some poppy seed tea

Okay, so here's my situation guys. I've been here for awhile, and I know a lot of older members know I'm not a noob, especially when it comes to opiates, some even know about my medical situation.

A few months ago, my insurance cut out, so I wasn't able to get my usual back pain meds (hydrocodone 10/500 TID). So I began to buy opium poppies off the net, and it was so much better for me. Its analgesic properties lasted longer, didn't give me that "artificial opiate" buzz, I dunno, it just felt like a better way to manage my pain. Eventually I got my insurance back, so now I'm back on my usual regimen.

My Dilemma:
My insurance is fucking around with me again. Even though I'm due for a refill now, they won't pay till this weekend. If I ordered some poppies off the internet, they'd arrive around the same time I could get my refill, which would defeat the purpose. The other day as I was cleaning the house, I stumbled upon an old USPS box filled with opium seeds and a few stems. Now when I made the tea, I would just use the pods, not the seeds or stems, but I had heard you could prepare the seeds a certain way to get something out of them, and too my surprise it worked, worked very well actually.

So basically what I'm asking is, is there anywhere locally to get decent quality, SAFE poppy seeds. I know a lot of major poppy seed producers "de-opiate" or spray the seeds with chemicals and shit. I tried my local headshop where I know the owner pretty well, and she said that she just used the net and had never tried looking around town. For the seeds I was thinking grocery stores or natural food stores would have some, I know they would, but I don't know which brands are "good". I also thought that I might be able to buy some dried pods at some sort of Arts and Crafts store like Hobby Lobby or Old Time Pottery, although I fear the pods would be sprayed with something.

So, my fellow opiophiles and BLTCr's, any help you could give me would be much appreciated.

Thanks

yes, it is possible to use seeds and stems, but usu. less potent than pods.

how bad is your pain? bad enough to not want to wait till the weekend apparently?

as far as store bought seed potency, you never really know till you try it. usually the treatment doesn't remove the opiates (but it can), just makes the seed sterile.

it helps if you get organic, and bulk (not the jars) with clumps, and bits of stems and junk left in. usually these are less processed, meaning they can can be more potent (but not always).

the only way to know for sure is to try them.

and I would stay away from pods in craft stores, typically they are coated with nasty shit and preservatives you don't want to ingest.

oh, and it might be possible to get express shipping for the pods, so you could get them before the weekend.

that cover it?

Thanks penguinjam, I appreciate the advice.

I looked around my spice cabinet and found some "Spice Islands" poppy seeds. They don't look treated, decent color. They're not bulk, but that's what I have to work with until I can make it to the store. I'll just have to give it a shot.

And yes my pain is pretty bad, and I don't want to use express/overnight shipping for pods. The last time I ordered overnight shipping, I paid $20 for it, and it took over a week, longer than it would usually take for normal priority shipping. I still haven't been refunded, so I don't want to waste anymore money on it.

Thanks again

Apparently some bakeries carry large supplies of untreated seeds. Maybe try calling around?

Say you're opening a bagel store hehe. :D

If all else fails, loperamide (immodium) will apparently curb the opiate withdrawals to some extent and may help a bit with pain, also.

I find 2g or more (but never more than 3g) of DLPA to be an effective painkiller. But it can raise your blood pressure alot, so if you have BP issues, stay away.

Heh, thanks No Warning.

But this isn't the first time I've been through withdrawals. So I already got the immodium ready, managed to grab a few klonpins, b vitamins, plenty of water, etc. But thanks anyways man/

I've never heard of DLPA though, might look into that

Ah, the Spice Islands Poppy Seeds worked... not too well, but it was only 90 grams, so it wasn't that large of a dose. It's just now creeping in. Poppy Pod tea, and Poppy Seed tea (apparently as well) creeps in slowly. Like the first hour you'll have a nice buzz going on and then by about t+1:45 you find yourself almost nodding. Now I doubt it'll be that good, but who knows, here I am rambling on, which I do when I get narc'd so it might be better than I expected.

I really appreciate the help and advice penguinjam & N0 W4RN1NG, looks like I'll be making a trip to the store tomorrow, hah.

I'm an opinoob and after reading this thread, the poppy pod/seed tea sounds interesting enough for me to try. I know of some organic grocery stores in my area, would I be right to assume I could find some seeds there? I could always check, I suppose.

If anyone could explain the actual method of making the tea, or point me to a site that does, that would be cool.

Thanks in advance.
