| Art and Design If you like it, is it Art? What is the difference between a good design, a bad design and bad taste? Does form follow function? If something works, does it matter what it looks like? |

Starting Stencils
I've been very interested in street art lately, specifically stencils. I plan on trying some stencils I made out sometime this week.
Do these look easy enough for a beginner such as myself?
I will only do 2-3 this week, so if you could vote on the 2-3 I should start with I would appreciate that along with some tips/advice.

When I do get up I will be sure to represent the results.

Re: Starting Stencils
The 3rd and 5th are the best, in my opion.
Although all of them except the 2nd is going to be tricky. You may need to think about it abit more.

Re: Starting Stencils
Here is my first practice I did on a piece of cardstock.
One layer face, second layer splashes of blood.

Re: Starting Stencils
Looks good mate. Obviously you'd have to use multiple layers on a couple of those, but it looks like you've got it covered.
I'd say finish up the american psycho, the first girl and one more, maybe something of your own design, and you'd be ready for a night upon the town.
Remember, always sign your work!

Re: Starting Stencils
Stencils are a great way of starting off and there real fun. Like Ford said sign your work, just watch out for cops like of all things to be afraid of when you have a can of paint it would be the cops.
I started off with stencels awhile back it was worth it man and i had a fun time.

Last night I did the single layer of the girl, and whipped up a stencil of my own, a businessman running, I would like to do more like that, but maybe with a molotov cocktail in the hand of the men running.
I know I have to sign my work, and that comes to a problem.
I don't have a name.
I thought of so many things, and they just don't fit.
I can't think of a name.
Any suggestions?
Edit: I was thinking maybe ze Brüte if it's not taken

Re: Starting Stencils
A T-Rex with an abnormally large head would be ace.
Put it in about 200+ places. Included with a phone number stenciled next to it.
People will call it out of curiosity, and piss off the owner of the line.
