Excuses
What excuses do y'all come up with for why you spent the entire night out (parents)? Right now all I can think of is a sleepover. But like my parents get pissy if I come home later than 11:30 and insist on calling me at around 10-11. Making it so that I can't do anything at night.
I really want to try shrooms sometime but like if I called them and told them where I was they would know something was up. And if I didn't call them they would call me. And they get really pissed if I don't tell them whose house I was at. And if I don't tell them over the phone make me sit down and recount my entire night to them.
It makes it really hard to do things legal and illegal. Cause they don't approve of just wandering around, and a legit excuse takes a lot of thinking. I can't have any holes, and if I do my bitch of a sister gladly points them out to my parents.

If they're the type to call ahead and talk to parents, etc, etc, well than, tough luck kid.

Re: Excuses
To avoid the difficulty of speaking, send a text message, in the text message state that your phone is running out of battery, and that you will be uncontactable thereon.
As for where you are, tell them that you are staying at a friend's house, or if you're of working age, tell them you've gotten a temp job working the graveyard shift.

Unfortunately they have no idea how to use text messages, I tried it once. Maybe I will give it a try sometime when I'm sober though and have nothing to lose.
And I'm looking for a job, so once that happens I can just say I've got work. Hopefully they won't add up the hours I'm supposedly working or anything.

Re: Excuses
youve got to break your parents in, train them if you will. you start off taking an inch when it comes to staying out, getting caught doing sketchy shit etc. once they get over being mad about it, do it again but to a higher degree, let them get over it then repeat.
my parents were the most strict parents you can imagine growing up, my sister who is 4 years older than me grounded HERSELF for getting in trouble in elementary school. she graduated highschool with a 4.0 in all honors and college credit classes, graduated college at the age of 21 with her MASTERS.
me on the other hand, never been grounded. skipped school every single day, had a 60 percent attendance rate, got caught smoking weed by them weekly, at first it meant drug tests and getting my door taken off the hinges. by the 5th time or so they just turned their head to it.
same concept but now its' with needles and dope unfortunately, theyve caught me like 3 times and have found shit in the last few weeks but wont bring it up so they are basically turning a blind eye to it all over again.

Re: Excuses
im going to spend the night at *insert name of friend* house, be back tomorrow....
going to a party, i wont drink and drive and if the cops show up im going to run like hell, be back tomorrow mom...
like 556 said you just sort of have to get them used to the idea that your a delinquent.... you get caught smoking weed or whatever, and yea they will be pissed as fuck the first time around, second time the have the idea of "well grounding him did not work, lets take away his privacy" then you get caught again and they start to think "fuck it, nothings working, ignore it"...
my little sister went into the head shop with my mom today, she just started pointing out bongs saying "i want that one mom!" my mom bought my sister a zippo and her boyfriend a shirt that said "i have to study to pass my drug test" because he recently lost his job after failing one.... my sister told her how i did not want to use my bank card in there because she can see my transactions and i did not want her to see it and she just said "i wouldn't care"....
i think they jacked my bowl though, i cant find it....
they never really cared about drinking, ive been pretty fucked in front of them. me and my step brother drank about half a liter of 100 proof schnapps, they know i have enough self control not to do anything stupid while drunk, i walked myself to the car when my step dad drove me home.... So they are pretty fine with me drinking...
after prom they knew what we would be doing, i was just told that if the cops came i should run like hell...

kill that bitch
as for the OP: "hey mom im going to hang out with jack and probly going to spend the night there" and leave your cell phone at home with the volume on loud so if they try to call they release its not happening
also replace jack with a friend whos phone number/where they live your parents dont know

Re: Excuses
oh and it sucks to have your parents know your friends cell phone...
i took a buddy to a party, i was tripping, drunk, and high as fuck when i get a call from my friends mom "where is my son, he's not answering his phone" i just said "i think he is asleep" and eventually hung up... i had him back home by dawn... they were a little pissed but not too angry at him for being out until then....

This guy got it all fucking right. Ive been doing shit like this for at least 8 years. You just gotta stay out of trouble for a little bit and then just go right back to it, when my mom thought I was doing oxy/heroin she wanted to give me weekly drug tests and send me away and shit if it was positive. I said fuck that and told her I would quit. I DID actually quit, just temporarily. Now I fucking am back to doing that shit everyday and they are starting to suspect shit so I know I will have to quit again.
Only for a while though, hehehehe. Wow kids are such bastards to there parents, it all evens out in the end though because those kids eventually have kids that fuck THEM over.

If i ever have kids i dont really think im going to be very pissed if i notice them smoking weed.... I might try and scare the hell out of them just for a laugh but i probably wouldn't punish them...
kids are going to do what they are going to do, smart thing to do is just try and make sure they aren't being dumb about it....
i would probably be pissed if they were heavily into opiates, coke, or meth....
If they were doing E, i would probably buy them a test kit...
Psychs after a certain age/level of maturity and i wouldn't be pissed.... My dad and his side of the family recently learned i do acid, my dad was not pissed... On the 20th im seeing him for the first time since he found out, im going to have a long chat with him about it.... He has shown interest in mushrooms, think i might try and convince him to try them at some point, i would rather do acid with him but he seems more adverse to acid than mushrooms.... I dont think he was pissed because he suspected i had done it before, i have talked about psychs with him before, and he read an article about people taking shrooms and considering it to be one of the most amazing and meaningful experiences of their lives, he said he would like that sort of thing.... I hope he would be willing to try...
and niggar hater, i talked with my sister... she had my bowl for some reason so all of my pieces are accounted for...

Re: Excuses
Ok so each time I go out for the next couple of weeks I won't come home until 11:30. Then when they are used to that it will be 11:45 and so on.
Or would it be better to bite the bullet and just ignore them and come home at 12:30 get grounded. Do it again get grounded... until they realize it won't work and give up?

Re: Excuses
I actually think most parents would rather there kids are at there house with friends and acquaintances knowing what there up too than their kids out on the street getting up to who knows.
When im a parent; ill let my kids have parties, ill let them get stoned in my house, ill let them experiment with drugs in my house; but ill make it very clear that these are things that are occasional and not part of ruitine; at least not in that stage in their life . At least i will know what the fuck is going on and if something "bad" does happen i can use my experience and knowledge to better the situation.
Really kids should only be experimenting with drugs under 18; curiosity is a powerful emotion. But anything more than that and id turn into a tight ass.
A first time drug experience should have attention payed to the set and setting.
I know that would be hard for someone who is philosophically against drugs (or just socially constructed against drugs) but really harm minimization is the only way to keep it real.
OP: If for some reason you parents find out about your habit, explain this and your parents may very well accept it.

we dont know your parents... figure out what works...
my sister has it to the point of where we hardly ever see her home... there's no "its a school night" she is somewhere else more than she is home...
i dont care about going out as much, but if i want out they dont get paranoid...

As bad as the "break your parents in like you're breaking in a newly bought slave" sounds, it's true and it works.
To make it easier on them, lie. They'll sleep soundly and they won't worry. She'll feel better if she knows you're at joey's house playing doctor than at a party chugging jager and ploughing the principal's daughter.

Yeah they hardly ever go out, but last time they went to a party they didn't come home until 1:30. And it was awesome... until my sister asked me why I was home so late in front of them. (I got home at 12:30)
And I don't always want to spend the entire night away from home. It would be nice to come home and sleep so, sleeping over at a friends house won't work with this.

Re: Excuses
Wait till your older and you dont have to worry about your parents?
Failing that, when I was a kid I used to just tell then I was staying at a mates. It was much easier for me because kids didnt have phones then unless you/your parents were rich. In your case, turn your phone off ("it ran out of battery, you forgot to charge it, your friend does not have a compatable phone charger and his home phone line got cut off, dont give them his number etc...")
Then come home at whatever time you want and just tell them that it fell through with your friend, you saw a late movie at the cinema or something along those lines.
You gota break your parents into these sort of things slowly, push the boundries a bit at a time and eventually they will collapse. My parents got so used to me being out late, not comming home or just staying at mates that by the time I was 16 I had more freedom to do whatever the fuck I wanted than any of my friends.
I realise your a kid but use your fucking imagination.
Unfortunately they have no idea how to use text messages, I tried it once. Maybe I will give it a try sometime when I'm sober though and have nothing to lose.
Thats the beauty of it, they cant reply so you dont have to speak to them any more and your phone is off so they cant ring you and the next day you can tell them that you contacted then and let them know the situation and the proof is right there on their phone.

Re: Excuses
I kind of did the text message thing, I left a message on her phone directly (without it ringing). Very bad... she called and said I had to come home right away, I was stoned, and then she grounded me (never caught on to me being high).

Re: Excuses
Maybe the best reply to that is that if your young enough to be grounded your too young to do drugs.
I feel so sorry for some kids, the last time my parents tried to ground me I was 13 and it didnt work out too well from their point of view.

Re: Excuses
Why don't you just say you're spending the night at someone's house who's parents are chill and shit. That way, you don't need to worry about lying, and you can still trip. And when you get to your buddy's house, you guys make an excuse for his parents (because they'll be more lax about that shit anyways.)
Really, it's just about your specific situation. And if you've always been submissive to your parents, then it's gonna be harder for you to do shit, but doesn't mean it's not possible. But anyways, I can just suggest that you try to get the point across to your parents to not fucking bother you and that they don't need to be involved in every little aspect of your life.

Re: Excuses
The "breaking them in" idea works but you have to keep doing worse shit if you want them to fuck off about the shit you're currently doing. To be honest, you only need to come home in a cop car, and have them find a pot plant in your closet, for them to just fuck off completely.
These days I don't ASK to go "sleep over at another guy's house", I say "I'll be back eventually, bye".

"I was rimming my boyfriend's tender anus" should work in your case...
I'd recommend talking to them, and pushing the boundaries through negotiation. Once you hit a certain age/level of maturity they'll let it be, a bit easier, no? :p
I don't live with my parents so I just yell at some housemates i'll be back about 6am usually... :)
