Re: Deaviated Septum
I naturally have one. However, my sense of smell is somewhat diminished in my right nostril due to coke.

Re: Deaviated Septum
My friend Tai had a deviated septum. He showed my friends and I one time with a flashlight, he had a big hole in his nostril, about the size of a dime.
Its horrible to get, so be careful sniffing shit. After you sniff something, its always good to sniff water a bit after, to help wash out some of the gunk. It won't completely stop damage from happening, but it can slow its progress down.

Re: Deaviated Septum
something like this
http://www.pheistyblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/neti-pot.jpg
with a slightly alkaline mixture (baking soda)
could neutralize the hcl...
whether it could actually prevent a deviated septum, I don't know...

Re: Deaviated Septum
Part of the damage is from ischemia. I'd even wager most of it. That is, lack of blood flow to the tissue due to vessel restriction. So you're still going to cause damage even snorting the cleanest shit ever. Its best to switch up sides, and give your nose time to heal before you go stuffing shit up there again.

that's not a deviated septum, that's a perforated septum...
but that sounds huge, possibly a collapsed septum?
could have both, but a deviated septum is when the septum leans to the right or left...

Re: Deaviated Septum
It's a neti pot. Used to pour water into the nostrils.

Re: Deaviated Septum
I too have one...I hate it though.
I know it can be corrected with minor surgery, but I have some college debt to settle now.

as for the neti pot, ya pour water in one nostril and it comes out the other. typically it's used with sea salt to clear out a congested nose...
and here's a diagram of it
