Question Girlfriend, family, uni - choices, choices...

Hello &T, as many people here, I come for your advice, opinions, tips and so on and so forth. There's a tl;dr version on the bottom.

The situation in a nutshell:
Parents divorced, I stayed with dick-for-a-father for the past 8 years, I've 'grown up', meaning I'm no longer a child in the eyes of the law (18, 19 this Feb). As mentioned before, I lived with father, but wanted to be with me mom, so I thought about finishing school here (Poland) and going to study to mom (NYC). Mom is really intent on seeing me there, I mean she's doing all she can so I can go there - doing the paperwork, visa, greencards, all that shit, it's costing her time and money and she's putting all her heart into it.

But here come the problem:
For a year I've been with this girl. A wonder of wonders. We never had a fight, maybe a few talks about this and that and had a lot of great times together and we're both pretty intent on remaining together. She also thought about going to the US to study so it seemed just fucking perfect.
Now, my mother made me promise that I will go there, she's arranging everything, from the visa-greencard stuff, to uni, to job shit and everything. She even said that she could provide a roof for the both of us (me and GF), no problem. So yeah, three or so months ago everything looked great and I did promise her that. Fuck me in the ass, amputee nigger porn god.

A month or so ago it turned out that my GF wouldn't be able to study in the US since she just won't have the money for it. To get a students visa, she would need to get accepted by the uni of her choice, its quite possible she will, she's ok with school stuff) and... provide proof she will be able to pay for the uni - now this is almost impossible since uni's in the US cost what, 8000$ up to 20000$ per year (correct me please, if Im wrong on this one). That's a shit load of cash to prove to have upfront. And she won't be able to live with it if her parents would have to sell their home for her to go there. She's willing to work all right, but while I'll be able to get discounts on uni's and stuff, she, a foreigner will only be able to kiss uncle sams ass.

Here comes a possible solution:
Study in the UK. It's a fuckton cheaper or even free. It's a lot closer to the motherland (that's a plus for her and her family). She will be able to study there, no problem, work, live etc. I can also study there. 2+2=4. WE can study and live there. No problems with that. On our own. Her parents don't have to sell their home. Everyone is happy...

Here comes the amputee nigger pornstar of a god:
Going to study to the UK breaks the promise I've made to my mom. She loses fuckloads of cash (5-10k$) time and worst of all, I think she is likely to condemn me. Dick-for-a-dad threw me out of home a month ago. Mom will curse me if I tell her about this little 'change of plans', brother (who is on mothers side) will also call me a fucker-for-a-son.
I lose my family almost all together.

TL;DR:
Have to choose whether to pick very promising GF or family.

So what &T? What options do I have, because frankly, for the first time in my life, I've come upon a lose-lose scenario. Reasons dictates to choose family, since GF is only a GF... but in each such case, this GF is so much more and I'm actually willing to think about forsaking my whole family for being with her.

I've thought about telling my mom frankly something like this "GF is the girl of my life, I have to study with her, but I will come over to the US when we finish studying". This has a slight chance of prevailing. A slight chance...

Or maybe I could somehow go to the US with my GF, fuck studying for a year and in this time work our assess off to get cash and start to study the next year. Except while Ill have the papers needed, my GF won't.

Long distance relationship is almost out of the question because this always fucks up.

Fuck .

Marry her now, let her study in the UK(and work a McJob and save) and you go over to the US. Fly over/Bring her over for every holiday and work on getting her a uni place in the US.

Whatever you do, don't break your promise to your mum, man. That's seriously low. You said you'd do something, you damn well be a man and do it.

Make sure you look into the scholarships or other funding she could apply for if she gets accepted for a uni in the US first. Don't quote me on that, but I've heard there are more funding opportunities for foreigners studying in the US than there are for the locals.

Also, don't dismiss having a long-distance relationship for a few years. I have seen that fail many times, but I have seen that work as well. If you both feel the same way about each other and want to make it work, you can.

Does your girlfriend have to go to school right away? Talk to her about the idea of deferring school for a while.

Talk about finances with the schools you've chosen. You may have different options that you aren't aware of at the moment.

Girls come and go dude, changing what you're going to do with your life because of some girl is stupid. Family is the only thing that will always stick by your side, your girl will leave you if something better comes along.

Fuck that, wake the fuck up, stop being a dumb piece of shit.

A dumb piece of shit wouldn't think about choices.

Also, yeah, I don't plan on fucking up a promise made to my mom, she seems to be the only one really giving a shit for me. (Don't worry mr. Malkog).
Also, Mr. Jackketch, thanks for the advice, but I don't believe I could marry her, both me and her don't think it's sane to get married in this age and after so much time with each other, we just wanna take it safe. Be together for some time, if it's still working out perfectly than we'll give marriage a go.

Also, I'm seriously thinking over just going over to the US, living with my mom and GF (although it's gonna be tough to somehow get my GF a visa and stuff like that, especially since we're not getting married just to travel together, ah), take like a year break during which I could work a job and work on myself also and maybe then decide to study in the US or choose to go over to the UK.

How does that sound? It puts some stress on my GF and me (we could both study right away in the UK and work easier, and she could go there freely, not have to worry about visas and shit) and her parents, but it also seems the best way out of the situation, a year isn't much, universities don't run away. Also, is working in the US during these times (im hearing its mighty shitty) for two foreigners good with english, fresh out of highschool, possible? I'm hearing about the bank troubles and work troubles, so Im wondering if, for the sake of my mom, Im not putting my GF and her family in lots of financial trouble and should only go there myself and try to work out a long distance thing with my GF?

Anyways, thanks.

Go see your mom, get a good education, and get the fuck outta Poland. It's a what, 5 hour flight from New York? It's not that bad. Don't give up your future and screw over your mom just for a girl. Chances are it won't work out anyway. Be realistic.

Why does your mother lose money and time if you go to UK

Wouldn't most people's mothers be happy to see them travel abroad to study?

If it were me man I think it's worth it to drop everything for love, If its the real deal, It's def. not worth loosing. your family should understand this, if they know anything on the subject of love..... but given that your folks split up , that may be a tense subject.

keep us posted
