If by "years best album" you mean "terribly boring", then I agree with you.
I don't see what the buzz is with these guys. There were far better albums in 2008, it's sad to see FF pop up on so many end of year top 10 lists.
They're not bad, but they're not good either. I'd like an order of boring with a side of bland.

Just checked them out.. not bad.. nothing special.
They sound like any other Brian Wilson influenced indie-pop band from the last 15 years.
Man, I could think of at least three better indie-pop albums released just this year off the top of my head.
