Telling my parents about my sex change operation.
Well, what's the best way to break it to them?
Jaccketh, please, this isn't trolling. Even if you think it is, don't lock - The suggestions here might be helpful to some other men wanting to be women reading this thread, okay?
So, how do I do this? It's killing me inside... I really don't want to tell them, but... I've already paid for it - I'm sure I want to be a woman, 100 percent. The first surgery is on this Saturday... I've been taking hormones.
How do I tell them this? Argh...
Feel sick/sad inside.

Re: Telling my parents about my sex change operation.
I suggest getting the op, sticking a butchers knife up your cunt and then pounding on their door naked at 3am until they open it shouting/sobbing 'ITS ALL YOUR FAULT ITS ALL YOUR FAULT'

Re: Telling my parents about my sex change operation.
Yeah, obviously it's not going to be easy. Transexuals are some of the least understood people in our culture. I'd much rather come out as gay to my parents than tell them I want to have a sex change. But I'm sure you're already aware of the difficulty involved.
Rent a documentary on the subject. Some paint it in a very compassionate light. Exposure is pretty important. Seeing that transexual people are otherwise quite normal individuals might be important for gaining their acceptance. You will also have to have a lot of patience. I'd say they're going to want you to wait a considerable amount of time after you telling them, before you go through with the procedure, as one of the big fears is that the person might change their mind and want to go back to their former gender, and that's not much of a viable option as it's pretty much a case of 'what's done is done.'
So after telling them, I'd expect to have a considerable amount of time where you may have to sort of 'prove' to them you still want to go through with it and that it's in your best interest for your happiness or whatever. This should probably be expected.
Other than that, I really don't know. It's a difficult thing to bring up and you're probably going to have to struggle against a fair bit of ignorance. But only you know how you feel inside, so as long as you know you can trust your own judgement then you know you can't really be talked out of it no matter how strong the opposition.
Other than that, I wish you luck. You likely have somewhat of a difficult road ahead of you, not just in terms of gaining acceptance, but also in terms of the procedure. But you're the only one that can know what you want.

look you ain't even a girl yet and the hormones are already getting in the way of simple logic. just tell them you originally wanted to be a girl but daddy's chromosomes fucked it all up and now you are making up for it. just kidding, accept the hand you are delt. wow this is a good troll topic for this forum i give you big ups for that.

Re: Telling my parents about my sex change operation.
"Oi mum, remember how you said you always wanted a daughter?"
"Oi mum, remember when you were pregnant and thought I was going to be a girl?"
"Oi mum, can you show me how to work a tampon?"
"Oi dad, soon you'll have another reason to molest me."
"Oi dad, remember when you were afraid I was gay? Good news..."
