Alright, so I'm used to just being able to go outside somewhere at night in the small town I lived in and toke up, there were no cops and plenty of secluded places, but now I'm at college and don't want to get caught. Where would be a good place to smoke a joint? How risky is it to take a walk at night and smoke a 50/50 tobacco/weed joint and pretend like I'm just smoking a cig?

In my dorm room usually. Then again I'm on the third floor and the only thing outside my window is a parking lot that's hardly ever used by anyone. Use fans and a spoof and just keep it close to a window.

If that's not an option for you, how the hell are we supposed to know where you can go to smoke weed? Just ask others that are experienced, find some woods or something off campus within walking distance, or just some small nook between buildings or something where people don't really go at night.

my campus has pretty lax security, i just smoke in my car in the parking lot right before class. i've done it basically daily for a year or two without any problems, so..

Try it in your hall bathroom or just outside campus in a crack den.

Another good place is in the bathrooms. Just run into the stalls and hold your hit in right before you're about to leave so no one knows it came from you. My campus has bathrooms all over and some will only have a handful of people go in all day.

I know this runs contrary to your question, but you should try to find a a spot to smoke that's not on the campus first. No sense getting expelled and having your future ruined over a joint.

However, if you really can't find any spot off campus, or it's too far of a walk or something, look for secluded areas like people said. It's probably overkill to try to find a special secluded area though. On a big college campus, with hundreds of people walking around all the time smoking cigarettes, do you really think they're going to give a shit about one more person smoking one? You even have tobacco in the joint to cover up the smell a bit. Don't smoke a fat cone in front of people or anything, but if you make it look like a cigarette you'll be fine. Rolling machines are great for this. Or, if they're so nosy at your college that they investigate people with unfiltered cigarettes, get a one-hitter that looks like a cigarette.

I'm assuming you can't smoke in your room for some reason. If you can smoke in your room, just get a fabric softener roll and some air freshener spray. Open the window, turn on the fan, or both. Less walking, less po-pos to be scared of.

Is it that hard to just LEAVE campus and come back? As far as I'm concerned, is it not legal and rule-abiding to leave the campus when you please and return given that you don't miss a class? Drive your car (or if you can't drive find a buddy or walk) off campus at night or a time when you don't have a class and go find a good secluded place behind a building or some shit to toke it up. Why would you WANT to do it on campus and risk getting caught? Shit if it HAS to be on campus walk into the parking lot like you own a car and casually kneel between two cars that will probably be un-used for a little bit and toke it up there. I remember doing it at a theme park and just going in the parking lot, toking between to big SUV, van like cars and going back in. Was a hell of a day :)

The only reason I would choose to do it on campus is because the school is fairly liberal and getting caught with something just means some anti-drug class thing, I figured that's better than a potential police encounter off campus.

Then smoke in the dorm...

Here's a story, take what you want from it. It happened my freshman year.

After having been caught twice smoking in the dorms by RAs (which didn't lead to anything but talking to the guy who ran our building), I couldn't smoke in the dorms anymore, because if I got caught, I would be kicked out of the dorms, and maybe school. Anyway. I started smoking outside, on a bike path that runs through the city. And keep in mind, this is in a pretty urban setting. Cops NEVER went on the bike path, and anyone else could fuck themselves, you know? Who cares if someone on a college campus, god forbid, sees you smoking weed.

Well anyway, one night I smoked a bowl outside, and typically, I'd smoke a cigarette afterward, because it's delicious and to cover the smell a tad. Little paranoid, whatever. However, this night I did not. I went inside, to my room, just to get a knock on my door less than a minute later. It was two university police, who had been on my floor (our floor was particularly loud and drunk, and had many instances of weed smoking incidents, so the cops started randomly showing up on Friday/Saturday nights), and smelled the weed on me. I must have left a trail of dank. Anyway, I got a possession ticket and a drinking ticket. Not cool. (Though the possession ticket got dropped because my ADA was the fucking man.)
