I usually ask this to my stoner and drug friends/acquaintances, which do you like more shrooms or acid and for what reasons?

While I appreciate the power and duration of LSD, I think I like shrooms a bit more, I like the visuals a bit more and I think its much more fun to be tripping in groups on shrooms. Nature is also incredible on mushrooms, I love it. Other things I enjoy about shrooms is that if you are wanting to come down for whatever reason you usually are, its not like acid where you are riding waves for 8 hours before you start coming down. Also the combination of shrooms and pot is great as well as the come up, I always get this euphoric rush where I feel like i'm seeing everything for the first time.

I'm sure most people will say the opposite, but that's just me, i've never had an unenjoyable trip on mushrooms, I've heard a bad trip on shrooms is hell though.

Mushrooms - better visuals and less head fuck. They're fun, whereas LSD is more serious.

Acid x 50. All the things OP listed above going well with shrooms can most certainly apply to LSD as well.

Shrooms, to me at least, is like taking a deck of cards, throwing it up in the air and picking up each card (random thoughts, no basis to which they form and where they lead). Acid is like taking a deck of cards, then rearranging it in numerical order and by color. Just my opinion, I doubt that makes any sense.

As far as what I enjoy more, I would say acid. With acid, I can take it at a party, drink and act like a buffoon for hours but still remain in that tripped out state OR I can take some with a bunch of friends and go on a hike or whatever OR I can just chill at home, play video games, do yoga, listen to music. Shrooms on the other hand, I almost always have to be outside or by myself. Shrooms just fill my head with crazy thoughts and I spend most of the trip in my head.

I agree, I always thought LSD was much more introspective, it usually bothers me when I'm on it and there is more than 1 or 2 close friends with me. I agree that LSD is most definitely more clearheaded, but I just get really antsy on it, like I just want to go and do things. Another thing about acid that's good is that you can function pretty normally without anyone knowing you are tripping the fuck out.
However, probably the best, most inspiring/learning trip of my life was on LSD, I would be lying if I didn't say I discovered a little bit more about myself, my friends, and the world last time I did acid, it was pretty much the quintessential solo acid trip.

The thing I like about shrooms are the times when you cannot stop laughing like an idiot, its great haha. I remember one time when my friends and I laughed for about 10 minutes straight and when we were done we couldn't even remember what we were laughing about, :D.

Also should have said people react much diffferently to each, I wasn't saying one was better than the other, I just wanted to see what everyone's opinion of each was.

don't really have enough experience with acid to say whether I like it better or worse than shrooms, but if given the chance of cid or shrooms, I would definitely go for the cid, simply because it is much harder to come by.

I love them both equally... LSD feels a little bit more lucid and i'm still "in control" even on the high doses... where on mushrooms my thoughts and emotions can start to be a little too much for me to control at times, but LSD lasts a lot longer- so it balances out.

Mushrooms

I like mushrooms, but thats just cause I have more experience with them than acid.

Different types of shrooms have different effects. I've only ever tripped on one strain and it was amazingly intense but not a mindfuck. I would describe it as a "real experience of life." However, I've had friends trip on shrooms and say that it fucked with their mind so hard they couldn't even come to grips with reality.

Me? I'd have to say acid only because I'm more experienced with it.

I find LSD is less therapeutic than mushrooms in the sense that, with mushrooms I will reflect on personal issues and analyze myself.

On LSD, I won't analyze myself but my surroundings or surrounding concepts and idea's (movies, books, something someone says, etc.).

so to me, mushrooms are an introspective therapeutic drug while acid is more an external analytic drug.

trying to say one is better than the other is kind of pointless IMO, they serve different purposes.

How strong of an acid trip have you had? Strong acid trips are very introspective in the most in-your-face way.

I enjoy LSD much much more because I have very vivid hallucinations, and due to a large amount of self-control, can be wiped from my mind if they get a little too serious. I also sometimes take a single before I go to bed around the holidays to trip while sleeping.

I would think it depends on the mindset.

I think I prefer shrooms. Being at one with nature is awesome.

How does the tripping while sleeping work? Fucked up dreams? Seems like that would be a really stupid waste of a tab to me

You can't "trip" on LSD while sleeping ... LSD gives you energy and makes you feel alive. If I eat a tab at night I'm most definatly going to be watching the sun rise the next morning unless I have sedatives on hand.

Maybe he just gets really shitty acid and it just gives him very minor effects/placebo... but I'd say its next to impossible to fall asleep while actually tripping on LSD.

Same here, when I take shrooms, its like some being is taking my brain, and pulling it in opposite directions, it can go amazingly well, or eerily bad...I still love em though! :D

Better visuals, more introspective but less of a mind fuck.

I'm really digging this 4-Aco-dmt right now. It's essentially just a prodrug to psilocin, but I subjectivly think it's a bit more comfortable,colorful, and it's easier to maintain a steady train of thought.
