After "tasting" some ecstasy pills I noticed that the one's I tasted are very bitter, with a strange texture to them. I was just wondering what should ecstasy tablets taste like, and is taste a decent way of identifying potency?

I'd say I'm quite experienced and I've found them to be quite salty.

Mine did have a very chemical taste to them, with a sort of bubbly bitter texture to them.

I've had some with no real taste to them whatsoever, others, and the majority of the ones I've had, definitely have a chemically aftertaste.

Most 'tastes' can be systhesised.


Maybe you're saying it tastes like a powder in your mouth.. but that's texture, not taste.

Crystaline MDMA always tastes like copper coins to me. It's not pleasant.

I would say they smell a lot like licorice when you have a few in a bag. And since smell is, like, 80% of taste...

Yeah, (good) E pills always taste very bitter and salty to me. Also, kind of alkaline, if that makes sense.

The copper is a good analogy.

My etarded friend says pure molly smells roughly like black licorice and chlorine. As for taste he says "very bitter with a aftertaste of chlorine and copper"

Rolls are obviously going to be inconsistent with their tastes because the fillers and cuts vary greatly. Pure MDMA though, as listed above, is VERY bitter. Snorting it burns horribly, which is one of the reasons it's not the best way to do it. A lot of kids just think snorting drugs is t3h hArdCoRe I guess. Under tongue/behind lip is always my method of choice. If you can bear the taste and sensation of MDMA, by all means go for it. Rolls I just drop. If the quality isn't great, I'll parachute one and eat the other.

Quite possibly the most bitter thing I have ever tasted. And I only keep em in my mouth for a max of 1/5 of a second before its down the hatch...:)
