my pictures of the moon and planets 2008
most of these aren't too great, because I'm still a n00b at all this; all were obviously taken over the course of 2008
figured that since I was going to upload these anyway, might as well show totse
Moon:

Venus:

Saturn:
http://i37.tinypic.com/16k9ilg.png - this one was blown up, a lot...it's actually closer to the size of Venus in the above pic, minus rings
Jupiter:

(I would show the pic of a solar eclipse on the planet - a moon transit - except, wrong computer)
Miscellaneous:
http://i37.tinypic.com/2ivh9bs.jpg - recent Jupiter/Venus/Moon conjunction
http://i35.tinypic.com/2wno4g1.jpg - Jupiter and Moon
And err, international space station...nothing too spectacular with these:

Awesome.
I want a telescope, and a place with clear enough air to use it.

The Earth is in fact flat, it's all a conspiracy. I mean look at it, that shit doesn't even look real. Rings around a planet? Gimme a break.

Re: my pictures of the moon and planets 2008
Lol YOU GUYS ARE RETARDED
Ok, let me show you a couple of things here.
These are pictures of the OP that I downloaded and every picture has an EXIF file attached to them which records the camera settings and also, which camera it was taken with. It might be in Flemish, but I'm sure you can see what camera it was actually taken with. And I can tell you guys right now, the cam it was taken with, isn't the cam the OP claims to have taken all the pictures with.
As for most of the other pictures, I can quite safely say that they were taken off the internet, for instance the once with pieces cut out of them...probably because they were watermarked by the site he got them from.
I thought you guys would of figured this out in an instant just because of the fact that all the pictures are also a different size...which would be quite weird if they were all taken with the same camera.
Damn you guys are gullible...

It scares me how much you will try to disprove someone who is only showing us pretty pictures.

At least I can formulate a common English phrase like "would have", instead of using "would of".

Re: my pictures of the moon and planets 2008
lol. I never said what I took these with (I was about to)
Some (the large ones) were taken with my regular digital camera. A Panasonic DMC-TZ3 or something along those lines (the number might be a 4) which has something like 8 megapixels and since I don't resize, etc etc. If you hadn't noticed, btw, tinypic also changes the file format to .bmp which might alter the exif data. The smaller ones were taken with a modified webcam that has a max resolution of 640x480. Both mosaics were taken with that.
Here are more:
Solar eclipse on Jupiter (look for the black dot on the bottom right) -
http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/6...dow3bigrs6.png
Moon-
Apeninne Mtns: http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/5...mpositeou5.png
Caucasus Mtns: http://img131.imageshack.us/img131/9...untainsnr2.png
Clavius Crater (the big, dark one at the top): http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/4107/claviussy0.png
I do not "expose" these for a certain time per se...the way it is done is by recording a video, then finding the best frames through a program and stacking them to increase contrast, signal to noise ratio, and remove atmospheric blurring.
Some of these, like Saturn and some Jupiter, were recorded by holding up my digital camera to the eyepiece. Others were recorded by using the modified webcam that cost about ~$99.
Here's the modified webcam I used: http://www.telescopes.com/telescope-...rwsoftware.cfm
The newest generation of my digital camera: http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...00000000005702

The ones with the pieces cut out means that multiple exposures were stitched together.

well, based on the second photo posted I would say he's posting photos taken from ESA SMART-1 or NASA. I think this is a collection of photos he has downloaded from the Internet.

Yeah, Orenabah was my alternate account when I got banhamm0rd.
sybil, I guess I misworded that...the pic is of the telescope I took the pics through...both cameras are seperate. Look at the exif data for the pic of the telescope it should match the rest of the large pics.

Awesome.
Last's night full moon was grand; it had an enormous halo too. Today's supposed to be equally or more magnificent.
