Define 'normal.' If you had a strong enough acid trip, you will never return to the you you were before you are now. Which isn't usually a bad thing.

Maybe 24 hours, maybe longer. Depends on the dose, the chemist who made it, tolerance for drugs(in general, and including acid), how old it is(i think oxygen breaks lsd down, but im not sure. i know chlorine does)

I tripped literally last time I tripped on acid,

and cut the shit out of my hand.

I also couldn't find the clothes I was wearing the day before.

Depends on what time you took it really, and the severity of the trip (I say that instead of the amount you took, because that isn't something you can't easily determine with acid).

I took 5 hits one night at 7pm and was having noticeable visual distortions well into the early morning of the next day. I was coherent and could drive just fine however, just the trip doesn't seem to end.

I consider it a good thing, enjoy it, you'll miss it when it's done. You might want to go replace some of those tasty neurotransmitters you just used up, some 5-HTP, glutamine, L-Dopa, and vitamins always help after an intense trip to replace those brain goodies.
